WWE had to edit R-Truth's debut on SmackDown this week because of the crowd's "TNA" and "We Want Angle" chants during the match.
Miscommunication backstage had the agents tell Killings to work a standard babyface match, sell big for Kenny Dykstra and then do a comeback for the win. Truth got some heat from the boss because he actually ended up selling a lot of Dykstra's moves and Vince McMahon got pissed off because he wanted Killings to look like a top star and sell nothing.
It's pretty much unanimous in the locker room that Killings did a good job and followed agents' orders to a T, and that Vince should be talking to the agents and not Killings.

Trish Stratus talks about her new travel show called Stratusphere
The Winnipeg Sun recently conducted an interview with former WWE Women’s champ Trish Stratus where she discusses her upcoming travel show The Stratusphere on the Travel Channel. The series will debut in Canada this coming Monday on the Travel & Escape channel before coming to the U.S.
Stratus noted that she traveled the world with WWE, but rarely saw more than airports and hotels. "Initially we set out to do an adventure-activity show, and the fact I was willing to do all these cool things, that was the first idea," Stratus said. "But then it kind of evolved into something slightly different, because once we got to these places, we realized these activities mean something really special in these cultures. So I was pleased to make it a deeper show. "
Trish hopes the show, which she also narrates, will inspire people to travel. "I also hope it encourages people to realize there's a great big beautiful world out there, so get out and explore it if you can. It always amazes me to go from one place to another and see how completely different they are."

Teddy Long's assistant Tiffany walked out to the top of the ramp with mic in hand. She introduced the General Manager of ECW - Teddy Long. Teddy came strolling out and did a little dancing with Tiffany. Teddy then announced that ECW will also have a Championship Scramble match at 'Unforgiven' just like Smackdown and Raw. Mark Henry will defend his ECW title against four other competitors from the ECW roster. Teddy said ECW will have qualifying matches tonight for the Unforgiven ECW Championship Scramble.
Matt Hardy Vs John Morrison (ECW Championship Scramble Qualifying Match)
Matt Hardy had things going his way at the very beginning of the match but John Morrison would then take control of the match for a while. Later, Hardy would try to end the match with the 'Twist of Fate' but Morrison countered by picking up Hardy and tossing him out over the top ropes. Morrison then went up against the ropes and came back to the other side to ram Hardy and knock him to the outside of the ring. MOrrison would then try his signature move a couple of times but Matt Hardy would counter. Morrison is completely dominating Hardy. Hardy comes back and goes for the pin but Morrison jumps out. Hardy goes for the 'Twist of Fate' a couple more times but Morrison is watching himself and counters the attacks. The second time John Morrison was about to counter it he turned it into a backslide and went for the pin on Hardy but tried to use the ropes as leverage but the referee spotted it and stopped the count. Morrison is talking to the referee and Hardy tries to roll up Morrison but only gets a two count. This match keeps going back and forth as is a great match up. Matt Hardy is finally able to hit the 'Twist of Fate' on John Morrison and get the cover and the victory as he heads to 'Unforgiven' at the ECW Championship Scramble.
Backstage, Teddy Long talked to Tiffany about how great the opening match was. Tiffany commented how Matt is one of her favorites. All of a sudden, Mark Henry and Tony Atlas showed up to complain about the Championship Scramble. Teddy Long said there could be three championships changing hands at 'Unforgiven' and asked Henry "will one of them be yours?"
The Miz Vs Evan Bourne (ECW Championship Scramble Qualifying Match)
Evan Bourne started the match with one of his electrifying moves to go for a quick cover but got a two count, the Miz looks stunned. Todd Grisham yalks about how Evan Bourne has never been pinned since coming to ECW. Miz takes control and hits Bourne who falls outside of the ring. Miz works on Bourne out there then throws him back in the ring and works on him some more, Miz in control. The Miz seems like he has a strategy to keep Bourne on the floor and not let him get into his high flying act. Bourne then got some momentum going his way and charged at Miz in the corner, with Miz elbowing his way out. Miz sat on the corner turnbuckle and Bourne kicked him, then climbed up for a move. Miz ducked under Bourne as he leapt up on the corner, causing Bourne to crash down on the turnbuckle on his groin. Bourne bounced off the corner down to the mat, and as he got to his feet, Miz was quick to hit the Reality Check. The Miz goes to 'Unforgiven'.
Chavo was shown walking backstage with Bam Neely and Tommy Dreamer was also shown walking on the split screen, in anticipation of the next qualifying match.
Chavo Guerrero Vs Tommy Dreamer (ECW Championship Scramble Qualifying Match)

Chavo went to jump off the corner, but Dreamer punched him in the midsection, then gained momentum. Dreamer whipped Chavo to one corner, then bulldogged him to the mat. Dreamer signaled for a finisher, but was holding his side. Dreamer did a running powerslam with Chavo on his shoulder, but Chavo kicked out at two. Chavo again elbowed his way out of the corner, but Dreamer was able to knock him off the corner, hanging him upside down. Dreamer ran and dropkicked Chavo, then pulled him down off the ropes. Dreamer hoisted Chavo up for another move, but Bam Neely got on the side apron to distract. Chavo was able to shove Dreamer into the ropes, causing Bam to fall off the apron. The distraction allowed Chavo to yank Dreamer down against the top rope, then hit a Frogsplash off the corner turnbuckle.
ECW returned and Matt Striker ran down the rules for the Championship Scramble at Unforgiven. The match has a time limit of 20 minutes. The match starts with 2 men in the ring and every 5 minutes another competitor arrives to the match. During the match, the title can change hands without the champion being pinned. Whoever scores the final pinfall before 20 minutes is up, will be the ECW champion.
Finlay Vs Mike Knox
At one point in the match, Finlay was able to toss Knox out through the ropes, then exited to the side apron. Knox yanked Finlay's leg to pull him down, causing Finlay to hit the apron face first. The two continued the fight with Knox gaining the upperhand as they rolled back into the ring. ECW returned from a commercial with Finlay in control. Finlay grabbed Knox' arm behind his back on the mat. Finlay continued to knee Knox in the back then got just a 2 count. The two went to the outside yet again, with Finlay running at Knox. Knox grabbed Finlay for a quick Powerslam outside. Back in the ring, Knox took control, choking Finlay against the middle rope, then running and jumping onto his back. With Knox in control, he kept Finlay in a chinlock. Finlay fought to his feet, but Knox rammed him back into the corner, dropping him to the mat. Knox turned his attention to Hornswoggle who was nearby outside the ring. Knox grabbed his coat, but Hornswoggle slipped out of it and ran part way up the ramp. Finlay was able to run and clothesline Knox out of the ring, then began a beatdown outside the ring. Back in the ring, Finlay had serious momentum. Knox eventually got back in control but couldn't score the pin, so he went over and started taking the turnbuckle cover off. The ref came over to stop Knox from removing the cover. Finlay had grabbed a shilaleigh while he was down on the mat and went at Knox, with the ref still in the corner. Knox kicked Finlay causing the shilaleigh to fall to the mat. The ref turned to see it and took it away, thinking Knox brought it into play. Meanwhile, Hornswoggle slipped another shilaleigh into the ring to Finlay. Finlay clocked Knox over the head, then scored the winning pinfall.

No Shelton Benjamin match at Summerslam because Mr. Kennedy got hurt
Anyone wonder why United States Champion Shelton Benjamin didn't have a title defense match at Summerslam? Well, The Gold Standard was originally planned to have a title defense match against Mr. Kennedy but the WWE had to pull the plug on that one when Mr. Kennedy injured his shoulder and they couldn't come up with a suitable replacement. The WWE instead decided to go with the Jeff Hardy - MVP match to take it's place.

D-Lo took control of things and prepared to hit the splash off the corner ropes. Beth Phoenix got into the ring and stood in front of Santino to prevent D-Lo's jump. D-Lo got in Beth's face and told her "get to stepping". Beth slapped D-Lo in the face and the referee called for the bell for a DQ. Santino told Beth to move away and he'd handle D-Lo, but D-Lo punched Santino then knocked him out of the ring. As D-Lo fell near the commentator's table, Kofi grabbed him and slammed him face first into the table.
Kane makes his way to the ring and then a clip of last week's show runs where he revealed Rey Mysterio's mask. The lights stay red in the arena as Kane speaks. He says everyone was shocked when he pulled Rey's mask out. He says carrying that bag made him feel good and put a smile on his face. He says Rey hasn't been seen for about six weeks and there is a reason for that. Kane says he never liked Mysterio and doesn't like people who do like Rey. He says he's a slithering slime who hides behind a mask and compares him to a fungus that grows in marshes. Kane says he figuratively eviscerated Rey in a parking lot six weeks ago but spared his life. He says Rey is alive but his spirit is broken and dead. Kane asks "is he alive? or is he dead?" and just laughs. Batista's music hits. Batista rushes the ring still kind of hobbling from the Cena match. As he gets in the ring Kane hits him with right hands. Batista nails the spear and goes to work on Kane. Kane hits Batista's knee and drops him. Batista gets lifted and dropped by a huge chokeslam as Kane looks on. Kane's new music hits as he makes his way to the back and Batista tries to recover in the ring.
Chris Jericho Vs CM Punk
Lance Cade accompanied Jericho the ring. Tonight's match was back and forth with Punk getting knocked to the outside, but later regaining momentum in the ring. Punk hit an impressive backbreaker on Jericho then a running knee into Jericho in the corner. Punk prepared for the Bulldog but Jericho shoved him away in the air and down to the mat. The two wrestlers continued to trade pinfalls and moves. Jericho whipped Punk into the corner then ran at him for a clothesline. Punk countered and hoisted Jericho up for the GTS, but Jericho grabbed the top rope. Jericho slid off and put Punk into Walls of Jericho. Punk strained to finally reach over to the bottom rope, breaking the hold. Jericho charged at Punk near the ropes and Punk grabbed Jericho for the GTS. Again, Jericho grabbed the rope to escape it. Jericho went to the corner turnbuckle, but Punk ran up the corner to deliver a knee, then bulldogged Jericho down to the mat. With Punk in control, Lance Cade got on the side apron. Punk ran over to knock Cade off. As the ref became distracted, Jericho surprised Punk and hit the Codebreaker to win it.

Cherry, Collin Delaney and more released by the WWE
The WWE continues to release many WWE superstars as of late. World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstars Stevie Richards and Colin Delaney, Raw tag team Robbie & Rory of The Highlanders, Smackdown Diva Cherry, and WWE referee Wes Adams as of Aug. 15, 2008. WWE wishes them the best in all their future endeavors.
Stevie Richards had just wrestled Vladimir Koslov on the August 8, 2008 edition of Smackdown and was praised for his work but apparently it was not good enough to change anyones mind.
Colin Delaney recently turned heel and fought Tommy Dreamer on the last ECW episode.
Cherry was a surprise as she had been one of the main Divas on Smackdown the past couple of months teaming with Michelle McCool. Guess when Maria started appearing on Smackdown they didn't have a place for Cherry anymore.

Randy Orton gets in a Motorcycle accident
During Monday Night Raw Michael Cole had mentioned Randy Orton getting into a motorcycle accident recently. The accident happened very close to Orton's home. He may have to thank his helmet for saving his life (a ggod example as to why you must wear your helmet). Randy Orton, who has only been riding a motorcycle for a month or so said that he was rounding a sharp curve on a steep hill when an oncoming car went into his lane which caused him to widen his turn. That caused him to hit the curb which threw him 300 feet and knocked him unconscious. Orton ended up rebreaking his collarbone in the accident. Reports have it that he will have to stay away from the ring for at least three months.

He talked about Mike Adamle, asking him for better ways that they could hype the match but then said that there is nothing more to hype the match other than the headline John Cena vs Batista - First time ever. Batista's music then came on and Batista made his way to the ring with his tag team championship belt. Cena then told Batista that the good news is that they are the World Tag Team Champions but the bad news is that they will have to learn how to co-exist when they have to defend their tag team titles in a rematch against Rhodes and DiBiase. Cena also said that things will be different at Summerslam because he has been watching Batista for six years after he was groomed by two of the greatest,Ric Flair and Triple H. He continued on saying that he never had that chance but that he has turned critics into believers and now on every Monday he stands before a nation that goes to battle with him. Batista then took the microphone and told Cena that he has been watching him too. He talked about how they've each won Royal Rumbles, they've each won main events at WrestleMania, they've each won their fair share of title belts, but one thing is Cena has never changed who is, and he respects that. Then Batista mocked John Cena by saying that he would never be caught doing some of the things that he does, imitating the Shuffle. Batista went on by saying that he can understand why certain people over the age of 15 would want to see him beat him senseless. Cena put his mic down and was ready to go at it with Batista but Batista told him to hold on and said that this Sunday he is going to answer the question once and for all who the better man is. Cena put his hand out and Batista shook his hand. Cena then backed up slowly and Batista's music hit to end the segment.

Punk says if he drinks this, then he's just like JBL, is that it? Punk says JBL don't get it, he's not like him. He's not JBL, he's CM Punk. He says he's not willing to compromise his beliefs because they've gotten him this far. Punk sets the shot back down and tells JBL thanks, but no thanks. JBL grabs the shot and says he will toast to CM Punk and the footnote that is his pathetic World Title run. JBL goes to toast him and CM Punk stops him. He says he has a change of heart and change of mind. He grabs the shot and says if anyone is going to have a shot around here, it's the Champ. Punk says here's to JBL and throws the shot in his eye. WWE Releases Big Dady V, Shannon Moore, Domino and Others!
The WWE has been releasing lots of WWE talent this week. The WWE has released Big Daddy V, who we have not seen in action in some time. Months and months ago Big Daddy V was told to take some time off to lose some weight but never made it back. Joining Big Daddy V are Domino, Nunzio, James Curtis, Chris Harris, Shannon Moore and referee Nick Patrick.
Big Daddy V's release was a surprise but I see him coming back again soon. Domino being released is no surprise to me as I don't see the WWE keeping Deuce that long either. Just seems like after the Deuce & Domino break up their was nothing left for these guys. Shannon Moore I think is a waste of talent, I think the WWE could have done more with him.

Meanwhile in the ring, Bam Neely tried a monster clothesline on Evan Bourne but missed as Bourne ducked and then was able to roll up Bam for the pin and the victory.
Highlights were shown of last weeks tag team match between the Miz and John Morrison against Finlay and Hornswoggle. During that match Mike Knox attacked Finlay and gave him a good beating in the ring.
Mike Knox then starts talking from the center of the ring. He talks about how the days of Finlay being a tough wrestler are long gone because now he's dancing with a leprechaun. Footage was also shown of Finlay and Hornswoggle dancing in front of a huge mansion. Knox continued to insult Finlay and then Finlay came down the isle with Hornswoggle. Finlay told Knox that he likes to have fun and he loves his family but then offered Knox a chance to take a shot at him to see if he has gone soft or not. Knox thought better of it though and left the ring.
Armando Estrada VS Tommy Dreamer
Todd Grisham reminded fans that if Armando loses tonight's match he's got to leave town, meaning the ECW roster. During this match Delaney appeared up on the apron to distract Dreamer. Armando Estrada took advantage of this and smacked Tommy Dreamer from behind which led to a roll up pin and a victory for Estrada. He celebrated the victory as he was able to keep his roster spot on ECW.
Backstage in the locker room, Estrada asked Delaney why he helped him out there after all Estrada did to him as GM. Tony Atlas confronted Miz & Morrison and said he knows this must be a misunderstanding because they were not invited onto the show to be disrespected. Miz and Morrison said they'd rather disrespect their next guest, Matt Hardy. Once again they used the moving lips joke with a pic of Matt Hardy on the Titantron. Hardy began to talk like Forrest Gump after Morrison asked a question. Then the real Hardy appeared from backstage and came to the ring. Hardy said it's good to see Miz and Morrison are such big Conan O'Brien fans, as they used the same joke he does on his late night show. Hardy explained how he became #1 Contender for the ECW title, by winning a 4 man match which included Miz and Morrison. Hardy said following Summerslam he'll be the ECW champ. Miz and Morrison became upset at Hardy coming onto their show and disrespecting them. Miz went to attack Hardy, but Hardy punched first, knocking Miz down. As Matt went after Miz, Morrison tried to attack Matt. Matt ducked Morrison's attempt and Morrison wound up punching Henry. Henry angrily handed his ECW belt to Tony Atlas then went after Morrison, knocking him down with 1 punch. Meanwhile, Matt Hardy disposed of The Miz from the ring. As Miz & Morrison continued to mock the two, all of a sudden Mark Henry and Tony Atlas appeared from backstage and rushed down to the ring. Henry got in the ring angry and went after Miz and Morrison. ECW ended with Matt Hardy and Mark Henry in the ring staring each other down.
