It's that time of the year again. The Superbowl of sports entertainment. Over 70,000 fans will fill Houston's Reliant Stadium April 5, 2009. This year's Wrestlemania matches feature almost all superstars in action, whether they be fighting in matches, acting as lumberjacks, or simply accompanying others to the ring. Five of the WWE's titles are up for grabs with the World Heavyweight, WWE Championship, Intercontinental Title, World Tag Team titles and WWE Tag Team titles all on the line. In addition, the tradition of having a Money in the Bank Ladder match continues as one superstar will climb a ladder high above all other opponents to grab the coveted Money in the Bank briefcase. That man will get a title opportunity for anytime, anyplace.
Rey Mysterio VS JBL (Intercontinental Championship Match)
There has been speculation that JBL may be retiring after Wrestlemania is over. It kind of would make sense since Tazz has departed from the WWE and they will need to fill that spot and who else better than JBL who has been there before. It would seem that it would make sense for Mysterio to become the new Intercontinental Champion and JBL go have a seat at ringside but who knows, they can make JBL win and be the final Intercontinental Champion. I doubt that though so I'm going to go with Rey Mysterio on winning this match.
8 Man Money in the Bank Match
Competing are MVP, Mark Henry, Shelton Benjamin, CM Punk, Kofi Kingston, Kane, Finlay & Christian
The only ones I can see winning this thing would be either Kane, Finlay or CM Punk. It would be something for CM Punk to repeat as the Money in the Bank winner but that is exactly what I think is going to happen.
Shawn Michaels VS Undertaker
OK now, will Shawn Michael be the one to end the streak? I doubt it! The Undertaker is not going anywhere soon and I really, really doubt that his streak is either. Undertaker will win and his Wrestlemania record will improve to 17-0.
Jeff Hardy VS Matt Hardy (Extreme Rules Match)
Matt Hardy will feel the fire of little brother Jeff in this one. Jeff will dominate most of the match and I predict it will be a great one but I'm going to go all out and say that in the end Matt will be victorious in this match and the brotherly feud will continue.
The Colons VS Miz & John Morrison (Tag Team Unification Lumberjack Match)
Both teams are putting their tag team titles up for grabs in this match so one of the teams will hold both titles when it's all over. The Colons will have Brie Bella in their corner while Miz and Morrison will have Nichole Bella. What impact the girls will have on the match I have no idea but I think that Miz and Morrison will win it all despite this being a Lumberjack Match.
Chris Jericho VS WWE Legends
Now this match is going to be entertaining for the old school WWF fans. We will get to see Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, Roddy Pipper and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka all in action as they will triple team and take down Chris Jericho and get the win. You know Ric Flair will probably get in the ring and help out the legends as they all embarrass Jericho.
John Cena VS Big Show VS Edge (Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship)
This one could go to anyone and is hard for me to make a prediction but I'm gonna go on a limb and say that Edge will once again defend his title. Seems like Edge always finds a way.
Triple H VS Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match)
After all that's happened between these two I'm curious to see how aggressive Triple H will be. Orton of course put his hands on Triple H's wife and that is one thing you don't want to do against the Game. Triple H will win the match and become the new WWE Champion.
Miss Wrestlemania 25 Divas Royal Rumble
This is going to be real fun to watch. Kelly Kelly, Katie Lea, Mickie James, Eve, Maryse, Gail Kim, Melina, Michelle McCool, Maria, Brie & Nikki Bella, Layla, Natalya, Tiffany, Jillian Hall, Beth Phoenix & Rosa Mendes. The winner of this match gets the illustrious title of "Miss Wrestlemania". There are more spaces left. Remember there suppose to be 25 of them. I don't see any of the above winning it. I say a Diva Legend like Trish Stratus or Lita will be in the match and win it. Or better yet, Victoria come into the match, surprise everyone and win it!
