ECW opened with highlights from Night of Champions ECW Title match between Christian and Tommy Dreamer. Christian was able to pull off a win with the Killswitch, and hugged Dreamer after the victory.
Matt Striker and Josh Matthews welcomed fans to the show just 48 hours removed from Night of Champions 2009.
Tyler Reks vs. Paul Burchill
A small picture in picture promo came up of Tyler Reks talking about getting revenge on Paul Burchill for last week's incident. Burchill came to the ring with his sister Katie Lea and immediately went to work on his opponent. Burchill did a back splash on Reks on the mat, then used his legs to squeeze Reks' midsection.
After another submission hold was applied by Burchill, Reks managed to escape. He also was able to deliver a strong clothesline to knock Burchill out of the ring, then jumped on him from over the ropes. Back in the ring, Reks was thrown onto the apron by Burchill near the corner. Burchill tried to run Reks from the apron into one of the ringposts, with Reks avoiding it. He hit Burchill then climbed on the turnbuckle to hit a missile dropkick for the win. Tyler Reks wins via pinfall over Paul Burchill.
Josh Matthews announced that new ECW champion Christian will face Zack Ryder later tonight.
Bill Baine vs. Vladimir Kozlov
Kozlov was able to toss his smaller opponent onto the corner and hit him several times. Baine came off the corner punching away, but Kozlov ducked his attempts and ended up putting him stomach first on the corner for a running kick. Kozlov then picked up Baine and threw him backwards across the ring before hitting his one armed slam to make the pin.
After the victory, Kozlov surveyed the damage, standing over his fallen opponent. Ezekiel Jackson's music hit and he came down the ramp from backstage to get in the ring. Jackson stared over at Kozlov for several moments, then went over and picked up Baine for his own version of the one armed slam move. Jackson then left the ring to walk up the ramp. Vladimir Kozlov wins via pinfall over Bill Baine.
Tommy Dreamer spoke to Tiffany backstage, and she told him that was a great idea. Tommy thanked her for the privilege of being ECW's champion the past 2 months. Just then, Shelton Benjamin came in as Dreamer was leaving. Shelton asked Tiffany if she had cleared him to be on the Abraham Washington Show. Tiffany said he had some concerns that Shelton wasn't entertaining enough. Gregory Helms came in, and Shelton asked if he needs to dress up like a superhero to be more entertaining. Helms said "I'm just a reporter". Shelton told Tiffany he'll show her entertaining, then brushed by Helms and left.
Goldust vs. Sheamus
Early on, Goldust was able to slide out of Sheamus' slam attempt to slam Sheamus himself. Sheamus backed up to the corner to recover then came back to start dominating. Sheamus delivered some hard strikes in the corner to knock Goldust down, then delivered 3 elbow drops for a pin attempt. Sheamus kept Goldust locked in an arm submission on the mat, with Goldust able to muster up some crowd support to get to his feet. Sheamus charged him in the corner with Goldust moving away. Goldust started punching away and was able to deliver a kick off the ropes to knock Sheamus down.
Goldust hit a powerslam for a 2 count as Sheamus came from off the ropes. He awaited Sheamus to stand for a finisher DDT, but Sheamus escaped it. Goldust went to the corner and ran back at Sheamus but received a boot to the face. Sheamus then picked up Goldust for a backbreaker across his knee, to get the winning pin. Sheamus wins via pinfall over Goldust.
New ECW Champion Christian was shown proudly walking down a hall backstage carrying the ECW title belt. Matt Striker said Christian will be out next.
Striker and Matthews cut to highlight footage of Shaq as guest host of WWE Raw. Shaq made himself special guest enforcer for the main event tag team match which pitted Chris Jericho/Big Show against Cryme Tyme. During the match, Show got disqualified for getting in the ring and not leaving but beating on Cryme Tyme. He called for Shaq to come fight. The two went toe to toe and put each other in Chokehold moves. Cryme Tyme got back up and kicked Big Show, allowing Shaq to hit a running shoulder to knock Show down.
The new ECW Champ, Christian was announced and he came to the ring to display the new hardware. Christian talked about the second title reign feeling just a bit sweeter than the first. He began to mention Tommy Dreamer and how he made some comments about his weight or getting emotional before. Just then, Dreamer's music hit and Dreamer came to the ring. Dreamer congratulated Christian on the match at NOC and for being the new champ. Dreamer added that Tiffany granted him a rematch for next week, under Extreme Rules. Just then, Zack Ryder's music came on as Ryder came out from backstage, mic in hand. Ryder said enough talking about next week, he's going to beat Christian tonight, "Woo woo woo, you know it".
Christian vs. Zack Ryder
The match was joined in progress after commercials. Christian took control as things heated up, and was able to hit a Sunset Flip from the corner for a pin. Ryder escaped and went outside the ring. As Ryder got on the apron, Christian ran at him, with Ryder headbutting him. Christian managed to recover though and after Ryder tossed him outside the ring, Christian yanked Ryder's foot down to cause him to hit the apron face first. From there, Christian got back into the ring to jump off the apron onto Ryder. ECW went to commercial with both men down on the outside.
When ECW returned, Zack Ryder shoved Christian off the corner to the outside. Ryder screamed for the ref to count Christian out. The ref got up to 9 and Christian rushed back into the ring. Ryder started kicking away at him, then stretched his back out in a hold. Ryder had several near pinfalls and then used his legs to lock around Christian's waist. Christian reversed into a jackknife pin but was unsuccessful. Ryder landed a carefully done superplex from off the corner with Christian. Both men were down for the ref count, but Ryder slid over for a pin.
Ryder went for another superplex in the opposite corner, but Christian shoved him off and hit a flying bodypress. Christian stayed in control and hit a pair of missile dropkicks, but couldn't get the pin. Ryder got Christian in the electric chair off the corner and dropped him face first into the ropes, followed with a flying leg laureat. Again another failed pinfall. Christian was able to connect on his kick through the ropes and a forearm uppercut from the corner to knock Ryder down. As Ryder got up, Christian hit the Killswitch to finally take it.
ECW closed with Christian showing off his ECW belt in the ring to celebrate the win.

Raw Results 07-27-09
Lillian Garcia introduced WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler who was already in the ring. Lawler introduced Raw's guest host for the night, 15-time NBA All Star Shaquille O'Neal. Shaq came out from backstage, walking down the ramp. On the way down, he ripped up a Kobe Bryant poster a fan was holding near the ramp.
Shaq joked that his new teammate Lebron James said to say hello and the Washington crowd booed it. Shaq also announced tonight's 5 Man Beat the Clock Challenge to determine Randy Orton's WWE Title opponent for Summerslam. Shaq announced the 5 competitors as well: Triple H, MVP, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry and John Cena. As Shaq started to hype up the crowd, Chris Jericho's pyro exploded and Jericho came down to the ring in a business suit.
In the ring, Jericho tried to stand up to Shaq, but ended up looking up a few feet to his face. Jericho said when he heard the most dominant man in the NBA was hosting Raw, he assumed it was Kobe Bryant. Shaq interrupted Jericho's speech, called him "Christina", and kissed him on the forehead. Jericho angrily carried on talking up his accolades in the WWE, and said he expects to be catered to by everyone in the company, including the hosts. Jericho said if Shaq keeps talking down to him, they're going to have problems. Shaq shoved Jericho a bit asking what he was going to do. Jericho then introduced his new tag team partner, The Big Show.
Show arrived to the ring also in a suit, and walked up to Shaq. The two came eye to eye in the ring. Show told Shaq he's got a better chance of hitting two straight free throws, than intimidating him. Shaq told Show about his new show "Shaq Vs." where he challenges some of the world's best athletes. Shaq challenged Show right there for a match. Show said he knows Shaq's plan, to get Show to hurt him and then have NBA breathing down his neck. Since Show and Jericho refused to fight Shaq, he said he hired two wrestlers who would fight them instead. Cryme Tyme came out from backstage, down to the ring. Shaq stood side by side with Cryme Tyme, and Show/Jericho backed down then left the ring. Shaq then announced he'd be the special guest enforcer for that tag match.
Mark Henry vs. Carlito (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #1)
Carlito jumped outside the ring and also ducked under the ropes early to run the clock some. Carlito rolled to the outside and walked up the ramp, with mark Henry going out to retrieve him. As Henry tried to get back in the ring, Carlito dropkicked him, then tried to jump over the ropes onto him. Henry caught Carlito in the air, then tossed him back into the ring. As the clock hit 2:45, Carlito had gained offensive advantage using his elbow off the ropes. The match crossed into the 3 minute mark with Henry hitting a running splash into the corner on Carlito. Henry delivered a huge boot, and tried for a pin at 3:35 with Carlito escaping it. Henry glanced at the clock, then went for a sit splash, but Carlito moved out of the way.
Carlito rolled under the ropes to the apron, then yanked Henry's neck against the ropes. Carlito hit a dropkick off the top rope then tried for a pin with Henry kicking out. The clock passed 5 minutes. Carlito tried a sleeper hold near 6 minutes, with Henry backing him into the corner. Carlito went for a Backstabber, but he couldn't bring Henry down. Carlito hit a neckbreaker then went off the ropes, but Henry grabbed him to hit the World's Strongest Slam. Henry's time to beat was 6:49. Henry wins via pinfall over Carlito in 6:49 for the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Backstage, the new Divas Champion Mickie James was shown walking side by side with Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly. Lawler announced they'd be in a 6 divas tag match next.
WWE Rewind showed footage from Night of Champions match between Mickie James and Maryse. Mickie James escaped Maryse's DDT attempt, to give her own DDT to Maryse. Mickie became the new Divas Champion with the win.
Some of the Washington Redskins were shown in the front row clowning around.
Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Beth Phoenix
Early on, Beth Phoenix really took it to Gail Kim, dominating her as she punched away at her on the mat. Alicia Fox came in next to continue the onslaught. Alicia hit a vicious backbreaker on Gail before slamming her head into the mat several times. Rosa came in next for a bit more damage, before tagging in Alicia again. Gail was able to use her legs to toss Alicia Fox away, then tagged in Mickie James. Mickie came in on fire, hammering away at Alicia, then knocking Beth and Rosa off the apron. Mickie went for the DDT with Alicia shoving her into the corner. Mickie hit a flying headscissors and then jumped on Alicia. Gail Kim made a blind tag to get involved in the match, then jumped off the corner to take down Gail for the winning pin. Kelly ran in to clothesline Rosa as she tried to break things up. Winners of the match are Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James.
Michael Cole interviewed Shaquille O'Neal backstage asking what else was in store for tonight. Just then, Hornswoggle came in and Shaq pretended to reprimand him for bursting in, then hugged the little guy. Shaq offered an energy drink to Horney, then said he really doesn't need one. There was a lowered basketball hoop set up for Hornswoggle to try to dunk on. Hornswoggle ran around with a ball then went for a dunk, but the ball bounced off the rim, and Hornswoggle fell on his back. Shaq gave him the energy drink. Michael Cole said "Oh my..that was Shaq-a-licious!" and put out his fist for Shaq. Shaq pointed out Cole with a weird look and walked off.
MVP vs. Chris Masters (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #2)
MVP would have to beat the time of 6:49 to have the top time for the challenge. The Masterpiece Chris Masters made his return to WWE & Raw for the match. MVP and Masters battled back and forth, with the clock running down from 6:49. MVP missed on his running boot in the corner and Masters went for his Masterlock hold. MVP kicked away from the corner to escape it. MVP had a vicious clothesline and tried for two pinfalls with Masters grabbing the ropes to break it. Masters pulled MVP forward to throw him out of the ring, then followed him outside.
Outside the ring MVP seemed to regain control as he punched Masters. MVP went to get back into the ring, but Masters pulled him down from the apron, and eventually applied the Masterlock on him outside. The ref counted both men out, causing MVP to be out of the challenge. Mark Henry's 6:49 time still remains the time to beat with Swagger, Cena and Triple H remaining. The match ended in a double countout, removing MVP from the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Kofi Kingston vs. The Brian Kendrick
Before the bell, Kendrick got on a mic and started jawing at Jerry Lawler for beating him last week. Kendrick said as soon as he's done beating up Kofi he's going to come beat up Lawler. The ref tried to get Kendrick's attention to start the match, but Kendrick yelled at him that he was talking. The ref called for the bell, and as Kendrick kept yelling at Lawler, Kingston hit a very quick roundhouse kick to pin Kendrick. Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over The Brian Kendrick.
Triple H was shown walking backstage on his way out for the Beat the Clock challenge match. All of a sudden, Ted Dibiase came running from behind him and clubbed HHH in the leg taking him down. HHH struggled to stand back up as Raw went to commercial.
An ad for Summerslam was shown for Sunday August 23rd from Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The theme song for this year's PPV is by Aerosmith.
Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #3)
Slideshow pics from last night's match for the WWE Title were shown. Both HHH and Cena had their submission holds on Orton as he tapped. The ref didn't know who to declare winner so the match kept going. Legacy came in to break things up, and no DQ was called. John Cena grabbed Rhodes for the Attitude Adjustment but Orton was able to deliver the RKO to defeat Cena.
HHH seemed to hobble his way down the ramp due to the earlier attack by Dibiase. Rhodes went right for the leg as the match kicked off but HHH shoved him away. HHH was able to use various takedowns with a headlock locked in on Rhodes. At one point, Rhodes caught HHH in the corner putting his leg up on the ropes and attacking it. Rhodes slid to the outside to smash HHH's leg against the ringpost several times, then came back in to continue the attack. Rhodes continued to use this strategy to keep HHH down as the clock kept moving down from 3:30.
Rhodes went for a doublehanded ax chop off the corner, but HHH kicked him in the gut. HHH had a Pedigree ready under 2 minutes, but Rhodes escaped and clipped him in the leg. Rhodes put on a Figure Four leglock as the clock continued to move down. Triple H reversed it and tried to make Rhodes tap, but the pain was too much for HHH's hurt leg. Rhodes went for another Figure Four, with HHH kicking him into the corner. HHH came back with a clothesline with under a minute left. HHH hit a spinebuster at 36 seconds, then signaled for the Pedigree. All of a sudden, Ted Dibiase appeared on the apron to taunt HHH. The clock kept ticking down as HHH looked at Dibiase and wanted to hit him. Finally, HHH grabbed Rhodes and threw him into Dibiase. HHH got the Pedigree with 3 seconds to go, but couldn't capture the pin before. Triple H failed to pin Cody Rhodes in under 6:49 and is eliminated from Beat the Clock challenge.
Backstage, Shaq and Santino Marella were playing Scrabble, when Cryme Tyme came in. Shaq got up and reminded them he'll be guest ref so everything will be in order for their tag match later. Shaq and Cryme Tyme started up a "Money, Money - Yea Yea!" chant and Santino came bobbing over to do a mini-rap song where he mentioned Dikembe Mutombo and Angelina Jolie's baby. Shaq and Cryme Tyme laughed and told him to get outta there.
Chavo Guerrero vs. Hornswoggle
Michael Cole mentioned that Hornswoggle and Shaq went to High school together. He also mentioned there will be 5 collectible Summerslam cups at 7-11 stores. Lillian Garcia announced that per guest host Shaq's orders, Chavo would have to compete blindfolded. The ref gave Chavo a black bag to put over his head and called for the bell.
Hornswoggle took full advantage of the situation, delivering kicks and punch moves when Chavo was feeling around for him. At one point, Chavo accidentally tackled the ref down and went to pound on him. The ref yelled at him and Chavo realized his mistake. The ref was yelling at Hornswoggle during one spot, and Chavo peaked out from under the mask, then dropkicked Hornswoggle down. Thinking he had Horney down on the mat, Chavo felt around to find the corner so he could climb up for a Frogsplash. Hornswoggle followed him outside the ring to the apron and watched Chavo climb up, then try a Frogsplash with nobody below. Horney climbed up on the corner and hit his Tadpole Splash on Chavo to win it. Hornswoggle wins via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero.
Randy Orton was in the lockerroom getting his boots on, when Jack Swagger walked in. Swagger said it's good news that HHH didn't beat the clock, but bad news that he will. Orton asked if he should be scared and Swagger said yes because he's bigger, stronger and younger. Swagger walked out, but just then Mark Henry was there in Orton's face. Henry stared at Orton then laughed a bit before returning to a stare. Orton walked off with his WWE Title.
Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #4)
Swagger would have to beat Mark Henry's time of 6:49 to be the top man in the challenge. With under 3:30 to go in the match, Swagger had control and tried for his finisher the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Bourne held onto Swagger's leg to prevent it. Swagger tried to pick up Bourne for the move, but Bourne countered from the air and pulled Swagger down into a pinfall, hooking Swagger's legs securely for the surprise win. Swagger was fuming after the loss and pounded his fist into the mat. Evan Bourne wins via pinfall over Jack Swagger. Jack Swagger is eliminated from Beat the Clock.
Lawler and Cole announced that John Cena will face Miz in the final Challenge match.
Cole and Lawler reminded fans that next week's guest host is Entourage and movie star from "The Goods", Jeremy Piven. They revisited the earlier incident which cost Triple H from being winner of the Beat the Clock challenge.
Josh Matthews interviewed Triple H backstage about how Legacy has now prevented him from capturing the WWE title twice. HHH said he's mad at himself for not seeing this sooner. HHH called out Rhodes & Dibiase, saying he's done playing games. Triple H said he'll take them on 2-on-1 next week on Raw. HHH said every now and then in life you come across a guy you just shouldn't screw with; "I'm that guy".
John Cena vs. The Miz (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #5)
Miz came out with a mic talking about how no matter which Washington team it is, the opponent just lets the time run out in the 4th quarter to prevent them from winning. Miz said he'll use the same strategy on Cena tonight. Miz said he just needs to last 6:49 against Cena not actually beat him. Randy Orton arrived to ringside to watch the match sitting next to the commentators.
Miz eluded Cena early on with the crowd chanting for Cena. Miz ducked out of the ring and began smirking as he saw the clock running down. The ref began a countout and Miz eventually rushed to get in before 9. Cena started his attack from there as he smashed Miz face first into several corners of the ring. Outside the ring Miz went again, but Cena followed out and leveled him with a clothesline. Mark Henry was shown backstage watching Cena fight Miz on a TV. Miz took control and went for a pin around 4:30 mark.
The match eventually went to the outside, with Miz able to throw Cena into the steel steps. The ref began counting Cena out and got all the way to 9, but Cena mustered up strength and slid into the ring to beat the count. Miz tangled Cena up in the ropes and started taunted him. The ref freed Cena and he was able to trip down Miz into the STF. Miz tapped out, making Cena the winner of the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Orton got into the ring and hoisted up his WWE Title for Cena to see. The two stared each other down before Cena left the ring smiling. John Cena beats Mark Henry's time of 6:49 to win the Beat the Clock Challenge. John Cena will face Orton for the WWE Title at Summerslam.
Shaq was shown walking backstage in a WWE referee's uniform on his way out for the non-title tag match he'd be special guest enforcer for.
When Raw returned Lawler informed fans that "You Gotta Move" by Aerosmith is the official 2009 Summerslam theme song. They confirmed that HHH will face Rhodes & Dibiase in a 2 on 1 match next week.
Cryme Tyme vs. Chris Jericho & Big Show (w/Special Enforcer Shaq)
Early in the match, Jericho hit a cheapshot by punching JTG in the face as the ref was warning him about something. Jericho threw JTG into the corner into Big Show's boot, then Show tagged in. Show locked a headlock on his smaller opponent with Shaq watching. Show started beating on JTG and tossing him around to taunt Shaq. JTG started fighting back but as he came running off the ropes, Show speared him down. JTG fell to the outside and got back in as Show picked him up. Jericho eventually tagged back in to continue wearing down JTG with a headlock. JTG got to his feet to battle out, and eventually hit a move off the ropes to take Jericho down. JTG struggled to get over to his partner, so Shaq grabbed him by the foot and pulled him closer. Shad Gaspar tagged in and began to take Jericho down.
Shad bodypressed Jericho overhead then let him drop to the mat. He followed up with an elbow drop, then prepared for his finisher. Jericho countered and tried for Walls of Jericho, but Shad used his leg power to toss Jericho towards the ropes. Shaq shoved Jericho back into the fray, and Shad and JTG set him up for their doubleteam finisher. JTG had the pin, but Big Show got in to break it up. With all four men in the ring, Big Show kept beating unmercifully on JTG & Shad. The ref finally called for the bell in a DQ. Show kept stomping away on Cryme Tyme and then prepared to chokeslam both men in front of Shaq. Show shoved them down and then called for Shaq to get in the ring.
Shaq tore off his enforcer's ref shirt and climbed into the ring. Shaq got right in Show's face and the two kept trash talking. Show pushed Shaq, so Shaq shoved back. Show then slapped his hand around Shaq's neck, so Shaq did the same back. The two held each other there, and then Cryme Tyme ran over to kick Show. Shaq did a running shoulder block into Show to knock him out of the ring with the crowd cheering it. Jericho rushed over to tend to Show with Cryme Tyme & Shaq in the ring celebrating. Cryme Tyme wins due to DQ when Show was not the legal man and would not leave the ring.
As Raw went off the air, Shaq was running up the ramp to chase Jericho and Show backstage.

Backstage, the new Divas Champion Mickie James was shown walking side by side with Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly. Lawler announced they'd be in a 6 divas tag match next.
WWE Rewind showed footage from Night of Champions match between Mickie James and Maryse. Mickie James escaped Maryse's DDT attempt, to give her own DDT to Maryse. Mickie became the new Divas Champion with the win.
Some of the Washington Redskins were shown in the front row clowning around.
Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Beth Phoenix
Early on, Beth Phoenix really took it to Gail Kim, dominating her as she punched away at her on the mat. Alicia Fox came in next to continue the onslaught. Alicia hit a vicious backbreaker on Gail before slamming her head into the mat several times. Rosa came in next for a bit more damage, before tagging in Alicia again. Gail was able to use her legs to toss Alicia Fox away, then tagged in Mickie James. Mickie came in on fire, hammering away at Alicia, then knocking Beth and Rosa off the apron. Mickie went for the DDT with Alicia shoving her into the corner. Mickie hit a flying headscissors and then jumped on Alicia. Gail Kim made a blind tag to get involved in the match, then jumped off the corner to take down Gail for the winning pin. Kelly ran in to clothesline Rosa as she tried to break things up. Winners of the match are Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James.
Michael Cole interviewed Shaquille O'Neal backstage asking what else was in store for tonight. Just then, Hornswoggle came in and Shaq pretended to reprimand him for bursting in, then hugged the little guy. Shaq offered an energy drink to Horney, then said he really doesn't need one. There was a lowered basketball hoop set up for Hornswoggle to try to dunk on. Hornswoggle ran around with a ball then went for a dunk, but the ball bounced off the rim, and Hornswoggle fell on his back. Shaq gave him the energy drink. Michael Cole said "Oh my..that was Shaq-a-licious!" and put out his fist for Shaq. Shaq pointed out Cole with a weird look and walked off.
MVP vs. Chris Masters (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #2)
MVP would have to beat the time of 6:49 to have the top time for the challenge. The Masterpiece Chris Masters made his return to WWE & Raw for the match. MVP and Masters battled back and forth, with the clock running down from 6:49. MVP missed on his running boot in the corner and Masters went for his Masterlock hold. MVP kicked away from the corner to escape it. MVP had a vicious clothesline and tried for two pinfalls with Masters grabbing the ropes to break it. Masters pulled MVP forward to throw him out of the ring, then followed him outside.
Outside the ring MVP seemed to regain control as he punched Masters. MVP went to get back into the ring, but Masters pulled him down from the apron, and eventually applied the Masterlock on him outside. The ref counted both men out, causing MVP to be out of the challenge. Mark Henry's 6:49 time still remains the time to beat with Swagger, Cena and Triple H remaining. The match ended in a double countout, removing MVP from the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Kofi Kingston vs. The Brian Kendrick
Before the bell, Kendrick got on a mic and started jawing at Jerry Lawler for beating him last week. Kendrick said as soon as he's done beating up Kofi he's going to come beat up Lawler. The ref tried to get Kendrick's attention to start the match, but Kendrick yelled at him that he was talking. The ref called for the bell, and as Kendrick kept yelling at Lawler, Kingston hit a very quick roundhouse kick to pin Kendrick. Kofi Kingston wins via pinfall over The Brian Kendrick.
Triple H was shown walking backstage on his way out for the Beat the Clock challenge match. All of a sudden, Ted Dibiase came running from behind him and clubbed HHH in the leg taking him down. HHH struggled to stand back up as Raw went to commercial.
An ad for Summerslam was shown for Sunday August 23rd from Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA. The theme song for this year's PPV is by Aerosmith.
Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #3)
Slideshow pics from last night's match for the WWE Title were shown. Both HHH and Cena had their submission holds on Orton as he tapped. The ref didn't know who to declare winner so the match kept going. Legacy came in to break things up, and no DQ was called. John Cena grabbed Rhodes for the Attitude Adjustment but Orton was able to deliver the RKO to defeat Cena.
HHH seemed to hobble his way down the ramp due to the earlier attack by Dibiase. Rhodes went right for the leg as the match kicked off but HHH shoved him away. HHH was able to use various takedowns with a headlock locked in on Rhodes. At one point, Rhodes caught HHH in the corner putting his leg up on the ropes and attacking it. Rhodes slid to the outside to smash HHH's leg against the ringpost several times, then came back in to continue the attack. Rhodes continued to use this strategy to keep HHH down as the clock kept moving down from 3:30.
Rhodes went for a doublehanded ax chop off the corner, but HHH kicked him in the gut. HHH had a Pedigree ready under 2 minutes, but Rhodes escaped and clipped him in the leg. Rhodes put on a Figure Four leglock as the clock continued to move down. Triple H reversed it and tried to make Rhodes tap, but the pain was too much for HHH's hurt leg. Rhodes went for another Figure Four, with HHH kicking him into the corner. HHH came back with a clothesline with under a minute left. HHH hit a spinebuster at 36 seconds, then signaled for the Pedigree. All of a sudden, Ted Dibiase appeared on the apron to taunt HHH. The clock kept ticking down as HHH looked at Dibiase and wanted to hit him. Finally, HHH grabbed Rhodes and threw him into Dibiase. HHH got the Pedigree with 3 seconds to go, but couldn't capture the pin before. Triple H failed to pin Cody Rhodes in under 6:49 and is eliminated from Beat the Clock challenge.
Backstage, Shaq and Santino Marella were playing Scrabble, when Cryme Tyme came in. Shaq got up and reminded them he'll be guest ref so everything will be in order for their tag match later. Shaq and Cryme Tyme started up a "Money, Money - Yea Yea!" chant and Santino came bobbing over to do a mini-rap song where he mentioned Dikembe Mutombo and Angelina Jolie's baby. Shaq and Cryme Tyme laughed and told him to get outta there.
Chavo Guerrero vs. Hornswoggle
Michael Cole mentioned that Hornswoggle and Shaq went to High school together. He also mentioned there will be 5 collectible Summerslam cups at 7-11 stores. Lillian Garcia announced that per guest host Shaq's orders, Chavo would have to compete blindfolded. The ref gave Chavo a black bag to put over his head and called for the bell.
Hornswoggle took full advantage of the situation, delivering kicks and punch moves when Chavo was feeling around for him. At one point, Chavo accidentally tackled the ref down and went to pound on him. The ref yelled at him and Chavo realized his mistake. The ref was yelling at Hornswoggle during one spot, and Chavo peaked out from under the mask, then dropkicked Hornswoggle down. Thinking he had Horney down on the mat, Chavo felt around to find the corner so he could climb up for a Frogsplash. Hornswoggle followed him outside the ring to the apron and watched Chavo climb up, then try a Frogsplash with nobody below. Horney climbed up on the corner and hit his Tadpole Splash on Chavo to win it. Hornswoggle wins via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero.
Randy Orton was in the lockerroom getting his boots on, when Jack Swagger walked in. Swagger said it's good news that HHH didn't beat the clock, but bad news that he will. Orton asked if he should be scared and Swagger said yes because he's bigger, stronger and younger. Swagger walked out, but just then Mark Henry was there in Orton's face. Henry stared at Orton then laughed a bit before returning to a stare. Orton walked off with his WWE Title.
Evan Bourne vs. Jack Swagger (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #4)
Swagger would have to beat Mark Henry's time of 6:49 to be the top man in the challenge. With under 3:30 to go in the match, Swagger had control and tried for his finisher the Gutwrench Powerbomb. Bourne held onto Swagger's leg to prevent it. Swagger tried to pick up Bourne for the move, but Bourne countered from the air and pulled Swagger down into a pinfall, hooking Swagger's legs securely for the surprise win. Swagger was fuming after the loss and pounded his fist into the mat. Evan Bourne wins via pinfall over Jack Swagger. Jack Swagger is eliminated from Beat the Clock.
Lawler and Cole announced that John Cena will face Miz in the final Challenge match.
Cole and Lawler reminded fans that next week's guest host is Entourage and movie star from "The Goods", Jeremy Piven. They revisited the earlier incident which cost Triple H from being winner of the Beat the Clock challenge.
Josh Matthews interviewed Triple H backstage about how Legacy has now prevented him from capturing the WWE title twice. HHH said he's mad at himself for not seeing this sooner. HHH called out Rhodes & Dibiase, saying he's done playing games. Triple H said he'll take them on 2-on-1 next week on Raw. HHH said every now and then in life you come across a guy you just shouldn't screw with; "I'm that guy".
John Cena vs. The Miz (Beat the Clock Challenge Match #5)
Miz came out with a mic talking about how no matter which Washington team it is, the opponent just lets the time run out in the 4th quarter to prevent them from winning. Miz said he'll use the same strategy on Cena tonight. Miz said he just needs to last 6:49 against Cena not actually beat him. Randy Orton arrived to ringside to watch the match sitting next to the commentators.
Miz eluded Cena early on with the crowd chanting for Cena. Miz ducked out of the ring and began smirking as he saw the clock running down. The ref began a countout and Miz eventually rushed to get in before 9. Cena started his attack from there as he smashed Miz face first into several corners of the ring. Outside the ring Miz went again, but Cena followed out and leveled him with a clothesline. Mark Henry was shown backstage watching Cena fight Miz on a TV. Miz took control and went for a pin around 4:30 mark.
The match eventually went to the outside, with Miz able to throw Cena into the steel steps. The ref began counting Cena out and got all the way to 9, but Cena mustered up strength and slid into the ring to beat the count. Miz tangled Cena up in the ropes and started taunted him. The ref freed Cena and he was able to trip down Miz into the STF. Miz tapped out, making Cena the winner of the Beat the Clock Challenge.
Orton got into the ring and hoisted up his WWE Title for Cena to see. The two stared each other down before Cena left the ring smiling. John Cena beats Mark Henry's time of 6:49 to win the Beat the Clock Challenge. John Cena will face Orton for the WWE Title at Summerslam.
Shaq was shown walking backstage in a WWE referee's uniform on his way out for the non-title tag match he'd be special guest enforcer for.
When Raw returned Lawler informed fans that "You Gotta Move" by Aerosmith is the official 2009 Summerslam theme song. They confirmed that HHH will face Rhodes & Dibiase in a 2 on 1 match next week.
Cryme Tyme vs. Chris Jericho & Big Show (w/Special Enforcer Shaq)
Early in the match, Jericho hit a cheapshot by punching JTG in the face as the ref was warning him about something. Jericho threw JTG into the corner into Big Show's boot, then Show tagged in. Show locked a headlock on his smaller opponent with Shaq watching. Show started beating on JTG and tossing him around to taunt Shaq. JTG started fighting back but as he came running off the ropes, Show speared him down. JTG fell to the outside and got back in as Show picked him up. Jericho eventually tagged back in to continue wearing down JTG with a headlock. JTG got to his feet to battle out, and eventually hit a move off the ropes to take Jericho down. JTG struggled to get over to his partner, so Shaq grabbed him by the foot and pulled him closer. Shad Gaspar tagged in and began to take Jericho down.
Shad bodypressed Jericho overhead then let him drop to the mat. He followed up with an elbow drop, then prepared for his finisher. Jericho countered and tried for Walls of Jericho, but Shad used his leg power to toss Jericho towards the ropes. Shaq shoved Jericho back into the fray, and Shad and JTG set him up for their doubleteam finisher. JTG had the pin, but Big Show got in to break it up. With all four men in the ring, Big Show kept beating unmercifully on JTG & Shad. The ref finally called for the bell in a DQ. Show kept stomping away on Cryme Tyme and then prepared to chokeslam both men in front of Shaq. Show shoved them down and then called for Shaq to get in the ring.
Shaq tore off his enforcer's ref shirt and climbed into the ring. Shaq got right in Show's face and the two kept trash talking. Show pushed Shaq, so Shaq shoved back. Show then slapped his hand around Shaq's neck, so Shaq did the same back. The two held each other there, and then Cryme Tyme ran over to kick Show. Shaq did a running shoulder block into Show to knock him out of the ring with the crowd cheering it. Jericho rushed over to tend to Show with Cryme Tyme & Shaq in the ring celebrating. Cryme Tyme wins due to DQ when Show was not the legal man and would not leave the ring.
As Raw went off the air, Shaq was running up the ramp to chase Jericho and Show backstage.

Night of Champions 2009 Results
Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase vs. Chris Jericho & Mystery Partner (Unified Tag Team title match)
After Chris Jericho arrived to the ring, video was shown of Edge after undergoing surgery, vowing to return to the ring again. Jericho began to denounce his former tag team partner Edge for leaving him high and dry to defend the belts. After disrespecting Edge for a few moments, Jericho then made the big announcement, his mystery partner is a man worthy of being a champion...The Big Show! Big Show arrived to the ring carrying both of the Unified Tag Team title belts, and immediately went to work in the ring taking out Rhodes, and then Dibiase when he tagged in.
Late in the match, Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho on Dibiase, but Dibiase countered trying for Dream Street. Jericho countered that and finally put Dibiase in Walls of Jericho. Cody Rhodes rushed in to break it up with a DDT on Jericho. Big Show tagged in after Dibiase dropkicked Jericho. Show tackled down Dibiase with a Spear, and Cody Rhodes dropkicked Show. As the ref became distracted by it all, Jericho hit a Codebreaker on Dibiase. Show then locked in his Camel Clutch style submission to make Dibiase tap out. Big Show & Chris Jericho win via submission over Rhodes & Dibiase to retain the Unifited Tag team titles.
Christian vs. Tommy Dreamer (ECW Title Match)
In his hometown of Philly, the ECW original Tommy Dreamer looked to successfully defend his ECW Title. As the match was continuing, former champion Christian was put into a Texas Cloverleaf submission by Dreamer. Christian managed to block the hold, and the two men exchanged near pinfalls. Christian managed to kick Dreamer in the head and then hit a dropkick from the turnbuckle. Christian then was able to hit Killswitch for the 3 count to become new ECW Champion! Christian wins via pinfall over Tommy Dreamer to become new ECW Champion.
MVP vs. Carlito vs. Miz vs. Primo* vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston - 6 Pack Challenge (United States Championship)
*Primo Colon became a late replacement for Big Show, who did not participate after teaming with Chris Jericho in the earlier tag title match.
As the match was winding down, Carlito, Primo and Kofi traded pinfalls. Jack Swagger started to annihilate his opponents in the ring with MVP just getting back inside. MVP was able to hit the Playmaker on Jack Swagger. Just then, The Miz hit the Reality Check on MVP. Miz went for a pinfall but Carlito and Primo threw him out of the ring. Carlito and Primo went at it, and Carlito hit the Backstabber on Primo. Kofi Kingston then hit Trouble in Paradise on Carlito to score the winning pinfall, retaining his US Title. Kofi Kingston wins the 6 Pack Challenge via pinfall over Carlito to retain the United States Title.
Melina vs. Michelle McCool (WWE Womens Title Match)
As Melina was preparing to do her traditional split maneuver before entering the ring, Michelle kicked her off the apron. The bell soon sounded with the match underway. The two battled it out in the ring with Melina taking Michelle down.
As the fight eventually went outside the ring, Melina and Michelle fought near the barricade. After a DDT by McCool she headed back into the ring. They went back outside again, with Melina jumping off the apron ont Michelle. Back in the ring, Melina was able to take McCool down to the mat and kneed her several times in the back. Melina continued to work on McCool as she stomped her midsection while Michelle was against the ropes. After a failed pinfall attempt by Melina, Michelle hit a belly-to-belly takedown on Melina. Melina was able to deliver a heel kick to Michelle, but Michelle countered it and stole the pinfall victory in surprise fashion. Michelle McCool wins via pinfall over Melina to retain the WWE Womens Title.

As Cena went back towards the ropes, HHH pulled the ropes down causing Cena to spill out of the ring. HHH locked in a Sharpshooter on Orton, who was in pain but refused to tap out. John Cena re-entered the ring and put half of his STF submission on Orton as well. Orton appeared to be tapping out but the ref didn't call for the bell.

Back in the ring, Mickie went for a move off the corner with Maryse rolling out of the way, then trying for a pin. Mickie escaped the pin at 2, so Maryse applied a submission hold. Mickie escaped the submission then smashed Maryse face first into the mat. After a clothesline and neckbreaker, Mickie only scored a 2 count pinfall. She eventually countered a Maryse move to hit her DDT for the winning pinfall. Mickie James wins via pinfall over Maryse to become the new Divas Champion.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Rey Mysterio (Intercontinental Champion)
Late in the match, the opportunistic Dolph Ziggler applied a full nelson onto the champion inside the ring. Rey was able to power out of the move, with Ziggler quickly re-applying the hold. The two wrestlers exchanged pinfall attempts. Eventually, Mysterio tripped Ziggler into the corner turnbuckle, causing him to hit face first. Mysterio got on the top rope to jump at Ziggler, with Ziggler dropkicking him from the air. Ziggler had a near pinfall. Rey set up Ziggler up on the corner and went up after him. Ziggler countered him and hit a gut buster. Ziggler could only score the 2 count. From there, Mysterio hit a 6:19 and then his finishing splash to win it. Rey Mysterio wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Title.
Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk (World Heavyweight Title)
Earlier in the night, CM Punk came out to the crowd with a mic in hand to talk about how they are failing due to the mistakes their parents made. In his match against Hardy, Punk made a few mistakes, including getting caught in several Twist of Fates and a Swanton Bomb.
Late in the match, Punk used high kicks on Jeff, but Jeff was able to hit him with Twist of Fate. Hardy went for a Swanton Bomb, but Punk put up his knees to block the move. After a failed pin, Punk went off the middle rope with Jeff countering him. Punk grabbed Jeff and hit GTS, but couldn't get a 3 count after trying several times. A frustrated Punk, grabbed his World Heavyweight title to retreat up the ramp. Jeff ran up and forced Punk to drop the belt, then brought him back to the ring. The referee eventually had to pull Jeff off Hardy in the corner. Hardy managed to hit Punk yet again with Twist of Fate, and then got to the top to connect on the Swanton Bomb. Mysterio got on the top rope to jump at Ziggler, with Ziggler dropkicking him from the air. Ziggler had a near pinfall. Rey set up Ziggler up on the corner and went up after him. Ziggler countered him and hit a gut buster. Ziggler could only score the 2 count. From there, Mysterio hit a 6:19 and then his finishing splash to win it. Rey Mysterio wins via pinfall over Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Title.
Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk (World Heavyweight Title)
Earlier in the night, CM Punk came out to the crowd with a mic in hand to talk about how they are failing due to the mistakes their parents made. In his match against Hardy, Punk made a few mistakes, including getting caught in several Twist of Fates and a Swanton Bomb.
Late in the match, Punk used high kicks on Jeff, but Jeff was able to hit him with Twist of Fate. Hardy went for a Swanton Bomb, but Punk put up his knees to block the move. After a failed pin, Punk went off the middle rope with Jeff countering him. Punk grabbed Jeff and hit GTS, but couldn't get a 3 count after trying several times. A frustrated Punk, grabbed his World Heavyweight title to retreat up the ramp. Jeff ran up and forced Punk to drop the belt, then brought him back to the ring. The referee eventually had to pull Jeff off Hardy in the corner. Hardy managed to hit Punk yet again with Twist of Fate, and then got to the top to connect on the Swanton Bomb. After a 3 count, Jeff Hardy is your new World Heavyweight Champion! Jeff Hardy wins via pinfall over CM Punk to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

ECW Results 07-21-09
Josh Matthews welcomed fans to the ECW show less than a week before the upcoming Night of Champions 2009 Pay-Per-View.
Yoshia Tatsu vs. William Regal
Regal had a mic and told Yoshi prior to the match he "truly despises all foreigners", prompting a "You Suck" chant from the crowd. Despite some early offense from Yoshi, it wasn't long until Regal had control and began to punish the new superstar. Yoshi fought out of Regal's submission hold on his feet, but got kneed in the gut. Regal continued using holds to wear Yoshi down on the mat.
Yoshi was able to do a running bulldog like move from the corner and had Regal sitting on the mat so he could kick his back. As Yoshi went to the corner ropes, Regal got up and knocked him off. Regal prepared to deliver a running knee at Yoshi, but Yoshi avoided it then landed his roundhouse kick to finish off Regal. Yoshi Tatsu wins via pinfall over William Regal.
Mike Williams vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Amateur wrestler Mike Williams got to feel the raw intensity of the recently-rebuilt Ezekiel Jackson in the ring. Ezekiel delivered a huge boot to level Williams from the start of things. Next, he delivered a vicious clothesline to knock Williams down, and for his third move picked him up to slam him to the mat for the pinfall win.
After the match had ended, Vladimir Kozlov made his way down to the ring. The two stared each other down, and then Kozlov grabbed the wrestler from the mat to show off his slam move, before leaving the ring. Jackson looked puzzled but finally left the ring too. Ezekiel Jackson wins via pinfall over Mike Williams.
A new segment called "Ask the Divas" was shown with divas Eve Torres, Maria Kanellis, Kelly Kelly and the Bella Twins all giving relationship advice. Fans can log on to WWE Universe to send their own questions for the divas.
Goldust vs. Shelton Benjamin
Goldust had control early, until Shelton was able to slam him face first into the turnbuckle. Benjamin took control from here as he started kneeing Goldust in the back, then pulled him into a hard clothesline. Shelton continued the punishment with a neck submission hold to wear Goldust down. Goldust started to fight back and tried to run at Shelton in the corner. Shelton booted him away but as he ran Goldust grabbed him for a powerslam.
Goldust gained momentum and was able to hit a barrage of moves including a legdrop, but couldn't capture the pin. Shelton fought out to counter a move and hit a backbreaker, but couldn't get a pin either. Shelton went for a move off the corner and Goldust caught him with a punch from the mat. Goldust used the ropes to pull himself up, but Shelton got up fast, ran and jumped over the top rope, yanking Goldust's neck against the rope. Shelton then came back in the ring to hit Paydirt. Shelton Benjamin wins via pinfall over Goldust.
ECW returned with Sheamus backstage. Sheamus mentioned how fans may have been used to seeing a Irishman running around with a leprechaun and shilaleigh. Sheamus said his career won't be a laughing matter and all opponents will fall prey to him.
Matt Striker and Josh Matthews discussed the upcoming Night of Champions featuring the Triple Threat match for the WWE Title, as well as the Unified Tag Team match where Jericho will choose a mystery partner. They also discussed Christian facing Tommy Dreamer for the ECW title.
Backstage, Gregory Helms interviewed Paul Burchill about his upcoming match against Tyler Reks. Just then they heard some strange noises, and looked over to see Goldust nearby holding the back of his head. Burchill walked over to yell at him and Goldust said it's because he got electrocuted two years ago. Burchill said he didn't care. Goldust said he was sorry but accidentally had a spasm and hit Burchill in the face with his hand. Burchill wanted to fight him but Katie Lea stopped him and told him to focus on his match instead.

Abraham Washington came out first, with his set up on the top of the ramp rather than in-ring tonight. Abraham said tonight's show will have not one, but two main event superstars. Washington reminded fans that these two wrestlers will fight over the ECW Title at Night of Champions. Washington introduced Christian first, then Dreamer. Washington made jokes about Dreamer wanting to be back on his show for the buffet they offer backstage. Dreamer came out in an all white suit carrying the ECW belt.
Abraham kept making jokes about Tommy being overweight, then said he was just kidding around. Washington brought up their match at Night of Champions. Washington insulted Christian saying he has a face for radio. Christian shot back saying Washington's got a show made for public access. Christian then discussed his friendship with Dreamer and talked about all his qualities. Dreamer said he's got the ECW title though. Christian said only for now, but at the PPV Sunday he'll become champ again.
Washington asked Christian who he lost to, and Dreamer said it was him. Christian said it was Swagger's fault he lost and Dreamer interrupted to say he's given Christian rematches. Dreamer brought up the significance of the PPV being in Philadelphia where ECW was born. Dreamer said if he took Christian to the Extreme he wouldn't be there next week. The two men that got up in each other's faces. Dreamer told Christian his comment was a real slap in the face. Christian slapped Dreamer and said no that was. Dreamer slapped Christian back. Both men backed up ready to fight. A staredown ensued as ECW went off the air.

Raw Results 07-20-09
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcomed fans to the arena for the show, reminding everyone that ZZ Top will be tonight's guest hosts. John Cena arrived out to loud cheers from the crowd to start things off. ZZ Top scheduled Cena and HHH to fight Rhodes and Dibiase in a tag match for tonight's main event. Cena spoke about all the excitement of Raw being hosted by ZZ Top, and that Night of Champions is under a week away. Cena hyped up his Triple Threat WWE Title match against Orton and HHH. Cena said this was the main event at Wrestlemania a few years ago. As Cena continued to talk, he was interrupted when Randy Orton came down the ramp.
Orton reminded Cena that in the WM match two years ago, he kicked HHH in the skull, then pinned Cena for the win. Orton said on Sunday history will repeat itself. Cena made fun of Orton's theme song saying he "hears voices in his head". Cena said he hears the voices of 10,000 fans cheering for him to get an early start for Sunday by pounding Orton now. Orton layed down his belt and Cena prepared to go. Just then, Orton ducked out under the ropes, and picked up the mic on the apron. Orton remained on the apron and Dibiase and Rhodes got on the other sides to surround him. Cena taunted them to get in the ring, and as they prepared to HHH's theme music hit, and The Game charged down to the ring. Orton and Legacy all retreated around the ring and Orton grabbed his WWE belt.
Triple H told Orton he doesn't care if he wins the WWE Title this Sunday, but he does care that Orton doesn't win. HHH reminded Orton how Seth Green punked him out last week. Orton said they weren't embarassed by last week, and then added himself to the main event. Cena and HHH started to joke about how Orton thinks if he's in the match it means HHH and Cena won't be able to co-exist. Triple H and Cena accepted the challenge, and Legacy walked up the ramp.
Cole and Lawler threw it back to ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, who were backstage with guitars and microphones. Santino came up to tell them how much he loved their music. ZZ Top gave him a fake beard and guitar along with black shades. Santino jammed with ZZ Top backstage on one of their songs, then pretended to play a guitar solo as Raw went to commercial.
Replay highlights from last Monday's Raw showed Big Show defeating Evan Bourne and keeping the submission hold locked on after the bell. A nearby commentator, Kofi Kingston, got up from his seat, came in the ring and kicked Show out of the ring.
Michael Cole announced that Kofi Kingston will defend the United States Championship in a 6 Pack Challenge. Kofi will face Jack Swagger, Big Show, MVP, Carlito and The Miz. The first man to score a pinfall or submission will win the US Title.
Primo Colon, MVP & Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger, Carlito & Big Show
The heels worked to keep Kofi near their corner for quite a while, dishing out punishment on him. Kofi tried to break away several times but was unable to. He finally made the escape using a headscissors to toss Carlito. Primo tagged in to take it right to Carlito. Primo went wild as he punched away on Carlito, knocked Swagger off the apron, and even Big Show! Primo hit a double leg drop off the ropes on Carlito and took a pin, but Swagger came in to break it up. MVP and Swagger went to the outside fighting. Carlito tried to take advantage of Primo who was distracted and went for the Backstabber, but just then Big Show had entered the ring and went for a Spear. Primo move, and Show speared Carlito down. Kofi Kingston jumped off the ropes to put a headscissors on Show and threw him over the top rope to the outside. Carlito was able to hit a flying headbutt off the corner to pin Carlito.
Primo's victory party was shortlived, as Big Show got into the ring and proceeded to chokeslam or knock down every wrestler. Big Show had 5 other men laying down in the ring before he left the scene. Primo, MVP & Kofi Kingston win via pinfall over Jack Swagger, Big Show and Carlito.
ZZ Top and Santino Marella were shown backstage again. They commented on the Big Show, and then talked about their tour with Aerosmith. Chris Jericho came in to tell them he's a big fan and mentioned his band Fozzy. ZZ Top wasn't familiar with the band. Jericho suggested they have a jam session later, but ZZ Top said they scheduled him to face Mark Henry in a match instead. Jericho became upset asking "How" he was supposed to do that. ZZ Top kept saying how and then launched into another song, with Jericho looking puzzled before leaving.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler mentioned the Aerosmith ZZ Top tour again, and said for more info to check ZZTop.com.
The Brian Kendrick was out talking to Lawler, who kept telling him to get in the ring. Kendrick picked up the mic and reminded Lawler he was one half of the WWE Tag champs for over a year, and that's 1 more title than Lawler ever had. Kendrick told Lillian to bring his opponent out and got in the ring,
Jerry Lawler vs. The Brian Kendrick
After an early taunt, Lawler punched down Brian Kendrick, but Kendrick responded aggressively, leveling Lawler and eventually putting him in a submission hold on the mat. Lawler fought to get to his feet and began to unload punches to knock Kendrick down. Lawler hit a dropkick then whipped Kendrick to the ropes. Kendrick held himself back then kicked Lawler down. Kendrick went for his finisher from the corner, but Lawler shoved him off. Lawler got up on the corner and then did a drop punch to the head to finish Kendrick off. Jerry Lawler wins via pinfall over The Brian Kendrick.
Josh Matthews interviewed Mickie James up on the ramp in front of the crowd. Josh asked Mickie about her chances against Maryse after losing to her in a Summer Swimsuit Spectacular. Mickie said it's time for a reality check and Mickie is just the woman to do it. Just then, The Miz' music hit and Miz came walking out to interrupt. Miz began to talk up Maryse, then said in 10 years Mickie will be working as a waitress in Waffle House. Mickie asked Miz if he's sour since Mickie scored a pinfall on Maryse and Miz can't score at all. Just then, Maryse came out and walked up to Mickie on the platform. They stared at one another and Maryse pulled a can of aerosol spray out to spray Mickie in the face. Mickie fell down on the platform holding her face and writhing around as Maryse laughed and posed. Mark Henry was shown walking backstage on the way out for his match against Jericho.
Chris Jericho vs. Mark Henry
Highlights were shown from last week's match between these two, with Henry squashing Jericho, and Jericho leaving the ring to get counted out.
Early on in this match, Chris Jericho kept leaving the ring to get away from Mark Henry. Jericho finally got in and hit a cheapshot, but Henry was soon in control and pressed Jericho above his head for a slam. Henry toyed with Jericho, standing on him and preparing for a sit splash off the corner. Jericho kicked Henry's leg out to take him down to the mat, and then continued to kick away at him. Henry got up, but Jericho continued to work on kicking his hurt leg to take him down.
Henry was finally able to make his come back, leveling Jericho down and also hitting him with an airplane spin to toss Jericho across the ring. Jericho was able to escape the World's Strongest Slam and went for Walls of Jericho, but couldn't get it. Henry threw Jericho out of the ring using his leg strength. Henry went out to retrieve Jericho, but Jericho had a steel chair which he used to bash on Henrry. The ref called for the DQ.
Jericho tried to continue using the chair, but Henry blocked it and shoved Jericho over the commentator's table towards Michael Cole. Back in the ring, Jericho tried to hit him with a Codebreaker but Henry caught Jericho, held him and then hit the World's Strongest Slam. Mark Henry wins due to disqualification when Chris Jericho used a steel chair.
Backstage, Santino was still in his ZZ Top costume with the 2 band members. Chavo Guerrero came in to tell them how he doesn't seem to be getting much respect on Raw lately, having to wrestle a leprechaun. ZZ Top said they agreed and put him in another match tonight against Hornswoggle. They said it would be a "Sharp Dressed Man" match, then began to play their famous song of the same name.
Highlights were shown from WWE Superstars 2 weeks ago, when Chavo and Hornswoggle had a match. Hornswoggle won it with a Tadpole Splash off the corner, after Chavo tried to superplex him off the corner. On last week's Raw, guest host Seth Green scheduled Chavo to fight Hornswoggle with one arm tied behind his back.
Hornswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero
Hornswoggle came out in a tuxedo first, followed by Chavo Guerrero, who had his tuxedo pants legs sewed together. Chavo told the ref he can't wrestle this way, but the ref called for the bell to start things. Hornswoggle started to chase Chavo around, then Chavo fell. Hornswoggle ripped off Chavo's jacket and tie, and kept kicking away at him. Next Hornswoggle ripped off Chavo's white shirt. As Hornswoggle walked back towards Chavo this time Chavo leveled him with a clothesline. Chavo pulled of Hornswoggle's suit coat to beat him with it, then took off his shoe and threw it at him. Chavo continued trying to mock Hornswoggle. Horney begged Chavo not to hit him near the ropes, and then tripped Chavo into the ropes. With Chavo hanging half in and out of the ring, Hornswoggle tore off his pants to win it. After the win, Chavo was embarassed in the ring in his Joe Boxers, and Hornswoggle kicked him out of the ring. Hornswoggle wins the Sharp Dressed Man Match over Chavo Guerrero.
Backstage, Triple H was taping himself up for the main event match. John Cena came in to discuss what HHH said earlier about not caring who wins the WWE Title as long as Orton doesn't. HHH told Cena he knows him well enough by now to know that he didn't mean that. Cena said they need to be on the same page tonight to finally take out Legacy. HHH agreed but said Night of Champions will be a different story, and Cena said he wouldn't have it any other way.
Backstage, Santino Marella said how great it was to be helping ZZ Top host Raw. They said there's still one more great match with HHH and Cena facing Legacy. ZZ Top said something's been missing all night though. Just then, Kelly Kelly walked in wearing short jean shorts. Santino said the music should start, and ZZ Top's "Legs" song started up. Kelly began to display her legs on a chair, but then Alicia Fox came in to push her away and started dancing. Gail Kim came in next and motioned for Alicia to leave so she could dance. Then Rosa Mendes came in and did the same thing. Finally, Santino told Rosa to move it, and he tore off his pants to show his legs. ZZ Top said they've had enough and left. Santino continued his dance routine to the song.
In the ring, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler hyped up this weekend's Night of Champions Pay-Per-View. They discussed all the matches including the WWE Title Triple Threat and the recently added 6 Pack Challenge for the United States Title.
Backstage, a dejected Chris Jericho was walking backstage when he came up to Legacy. Legacy said they could jump him right now but wanted to see who his tag partner will be Sunday. The duo started saying nobody wants to be the partner of a condescending loser like Jericho. Jericho snapped back saying that he's had more titles than their fathers and them combined. Jericho also added that they never know, Randy Orton could even be his tag partner Sunday.
When Raw returned. they announced that Shaquille O'Neal will be next week's guest host for WWE Raw.
Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes (ZZ Top Legs Match)
The WWE Raw divas put their legs on display in this match as they went at it. At one point, Gail Kim went for a move off the corner, with Roa coming over to distract. Gail kicked Rosa away on the apron, then tried to jump at Alicia, but Alicia caught her with a kick.
Kelly Kelly eventually tagged in to do her backflip handspring move against Alicia Fox, and then a legdrop for a pin. Rosa broke it up, then tried to throw Kelly out. Kelly hung onto the ropes and then she along with Gail Kim dropkicked Rosa out of the ring. Gail flew over the top rope to land on Rosa outside. Meanwhile, Alicia Fox was able to trip Kelly Kelly and roll her into a small package pinfall.
ZZ Top came driving out near the ramp in their trademark classic red car so they could be ringside to watch the main event match. Michael Cole mentioned their Double Down Live DVD coming out October 23rd.
John Cena & Triple H vs. Cody Rhodes, Ted Dibiase & Randy Orton
After a commercial break, Triple H had control against Cody Rhodes and hit him with a Facebuster. Rhodes managed to get away and tagged in Dibiase. Both Dibiase and Rhodes worked on a doubleteam effort and tossed HHH out over the corner for Orton. Orton smashed HHH face first into the steps then tossed him back in the ring. Orton tagged in to start pummeling away on HHH. The heels continued to work on HHH, keeping him from a tag to Cena.
HHH kept trying to fight through Rhodes to get a tag to Cena. HHH finally was able to tackle him down, but couldn't reach Cena for a tag. Rhodes ran over to tag in Orton, who started to work on HHH piece by piece. Triple H countered the RKO attempt and was able to hit a Spinebuster. Both men started to crawl over to their partners, and Cena and Rhodes came in. Cena exploded with momentum to slam Rhodes around, then knocked Dibiase off the apron. Cena hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle and put Rhodes into the Attitude Adjustment. Dibiase ran in to stop it, with Cena fighting him off. With Dibiase out of the ring, Cena put the STF on Rhodes. Rhodes nearly tapped but Dibiase came in for the save. Triple H came in to fight Dibiase out of the ring.
Cena and Dibiase were left in the ring. Cena had no partner to tag, as Dibiase tagged Orton back in. Orton rushed towards Cena for a Punt Kick, but Cena avoided it. Orton stopped himself at the corner, and Cena rolled him up for a surprise pinfall victory. John Cena and Triple H win via pinfall over Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase.
Orton reminded Cena that in the WM match two years ago, he kicked HHH in the skull, then pinned Cena for the win. Orton said on Sunday history will repeat itself. Cena made fun of Orton's theme song saying he "hears voices in his head". Cena said he hears the voices of 10,000 fans cheering for him to get an early start for Sunday by pounding Orton now. Orton layed down his belt and Cena prepared to go. Just then, Orton ducked out under the ropes, and picked up the mic on the apron. Orton remained on the apron and Dibiase and Rhodes got on the other sides to surround him. Cena taunted them to get in the ring, and as they prepared to HHH's theme music hit, and The Game charged down to the ring. Orton and Legacy all retreated around the ring and Orton grabbed his WWE belt.
Triple H told Orton he doesn't care if he wins the WWE Title this Sunday, but he does care that Orton doesn't win. HHH reminded Orton how Seth Green punked him out last week. Orton said they weren't embarassed by last week, and then added himself to the main event. Cena and HHH started to joke about how Orton thinks if he's in the match it means HHH and Cena won't be able to co-exist. Triple H and Cena accepted the challenge, and Legacy walked up the ramp.
Cole and Lawler threw it back to ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill, who were backstage with guitars and microphones. Santino came up to tell them how much he loved their music. ZZ Top gave him a fake beard and guitar along with black shades. Santino jammed with ZZ Top backstage on one of their songs, then pretended to play a guitar solo as Raw went to commercial.
Replay highlights from last Monday's Raw showed Big Show defeating Evan Bourne and keeping the submission hold locked on after the bell. A nearby commentator, Kofi Kingston, got up from his seat, came in the ring and kicked Show out of the ring.
Michael Cole announced that Kofi Kingston will defend the United States Championship in a 6 Pack Challenge. Kofi will face Jack Swagger, Big Show, MVP, Carlito and The Miz. The first man to score a pinfall or submission will win the US Title.
Primo Colon, MVP & Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger, Carlito & Big Show
The heels worked to keep Kofi near their corner for quite a while, dishing out punishment on him. Kofi tried to break away several times but was unable to. He finally made the escape using a headscissors to toss Carlito. Primo tagged in to take it right to Carlito. Primo went wild as he punched away on Carlito, knocked Swagger off the apron, and even Big Show! Primo hit a double leg drop off the ropes on Carlito and took a pin, but Swagger came in to break it up. MVP and Swagger went to the outside fighting. Carlito tried to take advantage of Primo who was distracted and went for the Backstabber, but just then Big Show had entered the ring and went for a Spear. Primo move, and Show speared Carlito down. Kofi Kingston jumped off the ropes to put a headscissors on Show and threw him over the top rope to the outside. Carlito was able to hit a flying headbutt off the corner to pin Carlito.
Primo's victory party was shortlived, as Big Show got into the ring and proceeded to chokeslam or knock down every wrestler. Big Show had 5 other men laying down in the ring before he left the scene. Primo, MVP & Kofi Kingston win via pinfall over Jack Swagger, Big Show and Carlito.
ZZ Top and Santino Marella were shown backstage again. They commented on the Big Show, and then talked about their tour with Aerosmith. Chris Jericho came in to tell them he's a big fan and mentioned his band Fozzy. ZZ Top wasn't familiar with the band. Jericho suggested they have a jam session later, but ZZ Top said they scheduled him to face Mark Henry in a match instead. Jericho became upset asking "How" he was supposed to do that. ZZ Top kept saying how and then launched into another song, with Jericho looking puzzled before leaving.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler mentioned the Aerosmith ZZ Top tour again, and said for more info to check ZZTop.com.
The Brian Kendrick was out talking to Lawler, who kept telling him to get in the ring. Kendrick picked up the mic and reminded Lawler he was one half of the WWE Tag champs for over a year, and that's 1 more title than Lawler ever had. Kendrick told Lillian to bring his opponent out and got in the ring,

After an early taunt, Lawler punched down Brian Kendrick, but Kendrick responded aggressively, leveling Lawler and eventually putting him in a submission hold on the mat. Lawler fought to get to his feet and began to unload punches to knock Kendrick down. Lawler hit a dropkick then whipped Kendrick to the ropes. Kendrick held himself back then kicked Lawler down. Kendrick went for his finisher from the corner, but Lawler shoved him off. Lawler got up on the corner and then did a drop punch to the head to finish Kendrick off. Jerry Lawler wins via pinfall over The Brian Kendrick.
Josh Matthews interviewed Mickie James up on the ramp in front of the crowd. Josh asked Mickie about her chances against Maryse after losing to her in a Summer Swimsuit Spectacular. Mickie said it's time for a reality check and Mickie is just the woman to do it. Just then, The Miz' music hit and Miz came walking out to interrupt. Miz began to talk up Maryse, then said in 10 years Mickie will be working as a waitress in Waffle House. Mickie asked Miz if he's sour since Mickie scored a pinfall on Maryse and Miz can't score at all. Just then, Maryse came out and walked up to Mickie on the platform. They stared at one another and Maryse pulled a can of aerosol spray out to spray Mickie in the face. Mickie fell down on the platform holding her face and writhing around as Maryse laughed and posed. Mark Henry was shown walking backstage on the way out for his match against Jericho.
Chris Jericho vs. Mark Henry
Highlights were shown from last week's match between these two, with Henry squashing Jericho, and Jericho leaving the ring to get counted out.
Early on in this match, Chris Jericho kept leaving the ring to get away from Mark Henry. Jericho finally got in and hit a cheapshot, but Henry was soon in control and pressed Jericho above his head for a slam. Henry toyed with Jericho, standing on him and preparing for a sit splash off the corner. Jericho kicked Henry's leg out to take him down to the mat, and then continued to kick away at him. Henry got up, but Jericho continued to work on kicking his hurt leg to take him down.
Henry was finally able to make his come back, leveling Jericho down and also hitting him with an airplane spin to toss Jericho across the ring. Jericho was able to escape the World's Strongest Slam and went for Walls of Jericho, but couldn't get it. Henry threw Jericho out of the ring using his leg strength. Henry went out to retrieve Jericho, but Jericho had a steel chair which he used to bash on Henrry. The ref called for the DQ.
Jericho tried to continue using the chair, but Henry blocked it and shoved Jericho over the commentator's table towards Michael Cole. Back in the ring, Jericho tried to hit him with a Codebreaker but Henry caught Jericho, held him and then hit the World's Strongest Slam. Mark Henry wins due to disqualification when Chris Jericho used a steel chair.
Backstage, Santino was still in his ZZ Top costume with the 2 band members. Chavo Guerrero came in to tell them how he doesn't seem to be getting much respect on Raw lately, having to wrestle a leprechaun. ZZ Top said they agreed and put him in another match tonight against Hornswoggle. They said it would be a "Sharp Dressed Man" match, then began to play their famous song of the same name.
Highlights were shown from WWE Superstars 2 weeks ago, when Chavo and Hornswoggle had a match. Hornswoggle won it with a Tadpole Splash off the corner, after Chavo tried to superplex him off the corner. On last week's Raw, guest host Seth Green scheduled Chavo to fight Hornswoggle with one arm tied behind his back.
Hornswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero
Hornswoggle came out in a tuxedo first, followed by Chavo Guerrero, who had his tuxedo pants legs sewed together. Chavo told the ref he can't wrestle this way, but the ref called for the bell to start things. Hornswoggle started to chase Chavo around, then Chavo fell. Hornswoggle ripped off Chavo's jacket and tie, and kept kicking away at him. Next Hornswoggle ripped off Chavo's white shirt. As Hornswoggle walked back towards Chavo this time Chavo leveled him with a clothesline. Chavo pulled of Hornswoggle's suit coat to beat him with it, then took off his shoe and threw it at him. Chavo continued trying to mock Hornswoggle. Horney begged Chavo not to hit him near the ropes, and then tripped Chavo into the ropes. With Chavo hanging half in and out of the ring, Hornswoggle tore off his pants to win it. After the win, Chavo was embarassed in the ring in his Joe Boxers, and Hornswoggle kicked him out of the ring. Hornswoggle wins the Sharp Dressed Man Match over Chavo Guerrero.
Backstage, Triple H was taping himself up for the main event match. John Cena came in to discuss what HHH said earlier about not caring who wins the WWE Title as long as Orton doesn't. HHH told Cena he knows him well enough by now to know that he didn't mean that. Cena said they need to be on the same page tonight to finally take out Legacy. HHH agreed but said Night of Champions will be a different story, and Cena said he wouldn't have it any other way.
Backstage, Santino Marella said how great it was to be helping ZZ Top host Raw. They said there's still one more great match with HHH and Cena facing Legacy. ZZ Top said something's been missing all night though. Just then, Kelly Kelly walked in wearing short jean shorts. Santino said the music should start, and ZZ Top's "Legs" song started up. Kelly began to display her legs on a chair, but then Alicia Fox came in to push her away and started dancing. Gail Kim came in next and motioned for Alicia to leave so she could dance. Then Rosa Mendes came in and did the same thing. Finally, Santino told Rosa to move it, and he tore off his pants to show his legs. ZZ Top said they've had enough and left. Santino continued his dance routine to the song.
In the ring, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler hyped up this weekend's Night of Champions Pay-Per-View. They discussed all the matches including the WWE Title Triple Threat and the recently added 6 Pack Challenge for the United States Title.
Backstage, a dejected Chris Jericho was walking backstage when he came up to Legacy. Legacy said they could jump him right now but wanted to see who his tag partner will be Sunday. The duo started saying nobody wants to be the partner of a condescending loser like Jericho. Jericho snapped back saying that he's had more titles than their fathers and them combined. Jericho also added that they never know, Randy Orton could even be his tag partner Sunday.
When Raw returned. they announced that Shaquille O'Neal will be next week's guest host for WWE Raw.
Kelly Kelly & Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox & Rosa Mendes (ZZ Top Legs Match)
The WWE Raw divas put their legs on display in this match as they went at it. At one point, Gail Kim went for a move off the corner, with Roa coming over to distract. Gail kicked Rosa away on the apron, then tried to jump at Alicia, but Alicia caught her with a kick.
Kelly Kelly eventually tagged in to do her backflip handspring move against Alicia Fox, and then a legdrop for a pin. Rosa broke it up, then tried to throw Kelly out. Kelly hung onto the ropes and then she along with Gail Kim dropkicked Rosa out of the ring. Gail flew over the top rope to land on Rosa outside. Meanwhile, Alicia Fox was able to trip Kelly Kelly and roll her into a small package pinfall.

ECW Results 07-14-09
ECW opened with highlights of the Christian vs Vladimir Kozlov match last week. Christian won after removing the turnbuckle cover and Kozlov hit face first into the exposed steel. Christian now heads to Night of Champions to face Tommy Dreamer for the ECW title.
Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin
Vladimir Kozlov provided guest commentary. Late in the match, Christian went to the corner with Shelton jumping up to fight. Christian shoved him off then hit the missile dropkick. Christian failed at his pinfall attempt and Shelton took control with a hold on the mat.
Later still, Christian was taken down from the corner by Shelton and appeared to hurt his arm or shoulder. Christian recovered but still favored the injury. He went for the Killswitch with Shelton shoving him shoulder first to the post, then hitting Paydirt for the surprise win! Shelton Benjamin wins via pinfall over Christian.
Backstage, Gregory Helms spoke with Ezekiel Jackson. Jackson said being drafted to ECW was great for him, and while he was off he got in the best shape of his life. Asked about being in Brian Kendrick's shadow, Jackson said he was hired by Kendrick because Kendrick needed him, but now he's going to make his own name.
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Paul Burchill
Katie Lea joined her brother at ringside. During the match, the veteran Burchill took control and seemed to dominate the newcomer. At one point, he tried to toss Yoshi over the ropes but Yoshi landed on the apron. Yoshi went for a springboard move but lost his footing and slipped, falling to the mat. Burchill capitalized with a backslam but the pin didn't work since Yoshi's arm was under the bottom rope. Yoshi got up as Burchill was arguing with the ref, then delivered his solid kick to Burchill's head to win it. Yoshi Tatsu wins via pinfall over Paul Burchill.
The commentary team reminded fans that next week's guest hosts for Raw will be ZZ Top.
Tiffany was shown in her office backstage. Tyler Reks came in to introduce himself, and asked for the chance to make his in-ring debut on ECW next week. Tiffany said that might be arranged.
Goldust vs. Zack Ryder
Late in the match, Goldust hit an elbow drop off the corner on Ryder's head. Zack Ryder kicked out of the pinfall, and Goldust whipped him to the corner. As Goldust walked towards him, Ryder tripped Goldust into the bottom turnbuckle, then hit the Zack attack for the win. Zack Ryder wins via pinfall over Goldust.
Raw Rebound highlighted Seth Green as the show's guest host Monday night. Seth scheduled a Divas Summer Swimsuit Spectacular featuring six divas in bikinis wrestling. Seth also inserted himself into the main event with John Cena and HHH as his partners to face Randy Orton and Legacy. During the match, Seth Green was almost hit by an Orton punt kick, but Cena made the save. Things got out of hand as all competitors got in the ring, including Dibiase with a steel chair. HHH grabbed his sledgehammer and cleared the ring, nearly clocking Cena. The two stared each other down after the incident.
Footage was shown from last week's rescue made by The Hurricane of a woman who fell off a ladder backstage. ECW GM Tiffany showed up asking what happened but nobody could tell her.
Roman Cornell vs. Sheamus
Before the match, Sheamus cut a promo on the mic saying nobody will stand in his path to be the most dominant ECW star ever. In a textbook superstar versus amateur match, Sheamus dominated as he beat unmercifully on the opponent. Cornell had a brief burst of offense which Sheamus answered with a big boot followed by a finisher where he slammed the man;s back against his knee. Sheamus wins via pinfall over Roman Cornell.
Highlights were shown again of last week's Christian versus Kozlov #1 Contender match. Next week, Christian and Tommy Dreamer will be guests on The Abraham Washington Show.

In about a 10 minute match, Kozlov showed his strength and power with Dreamer fighting back. Dreamer seemed to have answers for most of Kozlov' offense, including fighting Kozlov off the corner. Dreamer gave a boot to Kozlov as he came back at him, but on the jump off the corner, Kozlov swatted Dreamer down from the air. Kozlov followed up with his Iron Curtain slam to finish Dreamer for a pinfall win.

Raw Results 07-13-09
Raw opened with the crowd going wild as Triple H made his way out to the ring. The fans continued cheering and kicked off a "Triple H" chant. Triple H said he had the job tonight of introducing tonight's special guest host for Raw, Seth Green. Seth Green arrived to the ring doing all sorts of antics including a Hulk Hogan pose on the ring corner. Seth said he can do anything he wants tonight so he thought he'd start off with a Six Diva Swimsuit Summer Spectacular. Triple H began talking about Robot Chicken's season premiere for July 26th, and how it had the biggest star ever. A clip was shown which featured a toy version of Triple H in the ring talking about how John Cena got lost on the way to the arena for their match. Celebrity actress Dakota Fanning came out to fight Triple H, and eventually the John Cena figure showed up to fight too. After the clip was shown, Seth Green and HHH joked about Orton being a whiny little girl.
Randy Orton made his way down to the ring and told HHH he had the WWE title which HHH doesn't have. Orton began to tell off Seth Green next and told him he's got an anger management issue. Triple H suggested that Seth book Triple H versus Orton for the main event. Orton said there's no need for him to do that. HHH said he'd drop Orton right there and right now then. Orton backed away, saying he has nothing to say until Night of Champions. Orton was about to leave the ring, but then turned back to insult Seth Green some more, saying he only came to Raw to be mistaken for a real man. Orton went to leave but Seth stopped him to announce the main event: Orton & Legacy versus Triple H, Cena & Seth Green.
Kelly Kelly was shown walking backstage in a pink bikini on here way out for the six divas bikini match next.
Rock band Adelita's Way (creators of WWE Superstars theme song) was shown sitting front row at Raw.
Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox, Rosa Mendes & Maryse (Six Diva Summer Swimsuit Spectacular)
During the match, the heels tried to gang up on Gail Kim, but she escaped against Rosa Mendes. Kelly Kelly tagged in and did a handspring across the ring to splash into Rosa in the corner, then tried to climb on the corner to flip Rosa. Rosa shoved Kelly down to the mat, yet failed at her pin attempt. Alicia Fox tagged back in and put Kelly in a headlock. Kelly finally escaped to tag Mickie in just as Maryse tagged in as well. Mickie ran in to start taking Maryse down, then knocked Alicia and Rosa off the apron. Mickie used a headscissors to flip Maryse then jumped off the corner onto her. Seth Green was backstage in the office when Smackdown's Chris Jericho came in. Jericho told Seth Green he should have been catering to Jericho since his arrival tonight. Jericho mentioned how there's a Robot Chicken Roller Skating Free party bus tour. Seth Green asked Jericho why he's only bringing negativity. Green said it'd be better if Jericho left the building. Jericho said he's got an agenda, and suggested Seth stay out of his business tonight.
Highlights were shown from last week's Raw where Primo and Carlito lost to Edge and Jericho. After the loss, Carlito flipped out and started beating up Primo, tossing him over the commentators' table.
Primo vs. The Miz
Primo got on the mic before the match and demanded Carlito come out now. Instead, The Miz came out mocking Primo. The Miz said he was going to leave Primo laying on the mat just like Carlito did last week.
Miz took the early advantage as he began kneeing Primo in the back and locked in a hold on Primo's head. Primo fought back and was able to come off the ropes to hit a Russian legsweep on Miz. Primo continued using fastpaced and high-flying moves including a bodypress off the corner. With Primo in control, Carlito finally made his way out from backstage. Carlito got up on the side apron to distract Primo, allowing Miz to attack from behind. Miz hit his Finisher to plant Primo face first into the mat and take the pinfall.
Carlito got into the ring to kick Primo in the gut, then took a bite from an apple and spit on Primo's face. The Miz wins via pinfall over Primo.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler discussed how Edge suffered a torn achilles tendon injury and will be out for months. Lawler wondered about what will happen with the Unified Tag Team titles now.
WWE Rewind showed WWE Superstas match between Chavo and Hornswoggle. Chavo had to wrestle on his knees. At one point Chavo climbed up the corner to go after him, and Hornswoggle bit Chavo's hand. After Chavo fell to the mat, Horney jumped with the Tadpole Splash on Chavo to win.
Hornswoggle was backstage with Seth Green laughing maniacally. Seth told Hornswoggle he booked him for a rematch tonight against Chavo, but this time Chavo has one arm tied behind his back. Hornswoggle gave him a high five then left, because Big Show was there. Seth asked Big Show advice for his match tonight. Show told Seth to watch him against Evan Bourne to see how someone his size fares in the WWE. Big Show then made an Austin Powers joke before leaving.
MVP vs. Jack Swagger
Early on the two men stared at one another, until MVP slapped Swagger down to the mat. Swagger rolled out of the ring and angrily started to slam on the commentators' table, yelling stuff at Michael Cole. Raw went to commercial.
When Raw returned, Swagger was back in the ring to take a hard clothesline from MVP. Swagger went outside again to recover, but this time MVP came out to smash him into the crowd barrier. Back in the ring, MVP went for the Playmaker. Swagger countered and threw MVP shoulder first into the ringpost. Swagger took control from there and used a unique slam move to deliver MVP to the mat. Swagger continued working on MVP's injured arm, and hit a Splash off the corner, but failed at the pin.
As the match continued, MVP turned things around and was able to hit the Ballin' elbow. Swagger kicked out at 2. Swagger whipped MVP to the ropes, but MVP held on. Swagger charged at him and MVP tried to dump him over the top rope. Swagger was able to hold on and stayed on the apron, then yanked MVP's hurt arm down against the top rope. From there, Swagger got back in the ring to hit the Gutwrench Powerbomb on MVP for the win. Jack Swagger wins via pinfall over MVP.

Jericho said that Edge was the weak link of their team, and Jericho shouldn't be punished for that. Jericho said it's obvious he can't defend the tag titles at Night of Champions by himself. Jericho said the fans probably think he should be stripped of his tag title. Jericho said he's smarter than all the fans, and he had a clause put in his title contract saying if Edge was injured he gets to choose a tag team partner. Jericho said he'll reveal his tag partner before Night of Champions, and he'll be the opposite of Edge. Just then, Mark Henry came down to the ring.
Henry joked about him and Jericho making a great tag team. Henry then told Jericho he didn't come out to the ring to be his partner. Henry said he came out to be his opponent.

Henry started tearing Jericho's suit and shirt off, then beat on him unmercifully. Chris Jericho fell to the outside of the ring and began backing up the ramp, then eventually came back to the match. Mark Henry tossed Jericho across the ring then stomped on him. At one point, Henry tried to hoist up Jericho for World's Strongest Slam. Jericho slid off Henry's back and punched him in the back, but Henry dropped Jericho again. Jericho rolled to the outside and stumbled up the ramp. The ref counted Jericho out as he continued up the ramp. Mark Henry wins due to countout of Chris Jericho.
Hornswoggle vs. Chavo Guerrero
Before the match started, the ref secured Chavo's arm behind his back as ordered. Chavo tried to grab Hornswoggle around the throat early, and Hornswoggle bit his hand. Chavo tried to throw punches with Hornswoggle ducking. Hornswoggle did a sit splash but failed to get 3 on the pinfall. Hornswoggle did a Stinkface, then prepared to run at Chavo Guerrero again in the corner. Chavo booted Hornswoggle down, then got up to stand on Hornswoggle with one foot. Chavo continue to beat on Hornwoggle, then went for Tres Amigos. Hornswoggle countered it and rolled Chavo into a small package pinfall for the win. Hornswoggle wins via pinfall over Chavo Guerrero.
Backstage, Orton applauded Ted Dibiase for slapping his father last week. Dibiase said his father wants him to be just like he is. Dibiase said he'll be nothing like him and plans to be even better. Cody Rhodes rushed in and told them both that he heard a rumor his dad the American Dream might be Raw's guest host next week. Rhodes said unlike some people he's got a great relationship with his dad. Dibiase started to get in Rhodes' face for the comment but Orton stopped them. Orton discussed strategy for their 6 man tag match, telling Legacy to leave Seth Green for him to take care of personally.

Kofi Kingston joined Lawler and Cole for commentary. Highlights were shown from last week's Evan Bourne vs Kofi Kingston match. Bourne won it, but Big Show came down to beat up both men afterwards.
Bourne used quick kicks early, then went for a DDT. Big Show shoved Bourne off to the mat hard. Show started using a unique hold to wrench Bourne's arms behind his back, then tossed him across the ring. Cole mentioned that Kofi will take on Big Show on this week's WWE Superstars. Show continued to beat on Bourne in the corner. Show threw Bourne in the air across the ring again, then waited for him to stand. Bourne tried to kick back and Show hammered him down, then tossed him out of the ring. Bourne was able to hit a missile dropkick off the corner. As Bourne tried to rush at Big Show, Show speared him down hard then applied the Camel Clutch to make Bourne submit. Seth Green was shown watching the match backstage. As Show continued to lock the hold in, Kofi Kingston rushed into the ring to kick Show in the back, then landed a high kick to Show's head to knock him out of the ring. Show smiled as he stared into the ring at Kofi and backed up the ramp. Big Show wins via submission over Evan Bourne.

Backstage, Santino Marella was playing with some WWE action figures pretending to beat up another wrestler, and then having Trish Stratus ask him for a kiss. Seth Green was shown watching him. Santino asked if he'd be able to have a job and Seth laughed at him. Just then, John Cena and HHH came in. The two asked Seth if he was ready for the match and Seth said he's been getting more nervous by the second. Cena asked what Seth Green's height was and he said 5'4". HHH and Cena ended up getting into a bit of a dispute, and left saying they should be honest, he's going to get killed out there.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler said the guest hosts for Raw next week will be rock band ZZ Top.
Cole and Lawler talked about how the "12 Rounds" DVD is #1 in America according to Daily Variety, Entertainment Weekly and Billboard.
John Cena, HHH & Seth Green vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase
Raw joined the match in progress with HHH taking control against Rhodes. HHH continued the beatdown, and tagged in Cena next. Cena came in to work on Rhodes some more, whipping him to the corner then hitting the bulldog move off the ropes. Cena wrenched Rhodes' arm then tagged in Seth Green. Green wondered what to do, then wound up a punch to knock Rhodes down. Rhodes got up fast and backed Seth down. Seth hauled out of the ring and around towards the steps, where HHH was waiting to clothesline Rhodes down. Back in the ring, Seth quickly tagged Cena back in.
Dibiase began distracting the ref, allowing Orton to slip into the ring and hit a backbreaker on Cena. Rhodes tagged Orton in, and Cena got on the apron to get in the ring. Orton did his DDT move with Cena off the middle ropes. The heels continued to keep Cena isolated and away from the tag. At one point, Rhodes had a headlock on Cena, but Cena escaped it. The two went off the ropes and took each other down with the double clothesline. Cena made the jump over to tag in HHH, just as Orton tagged in. The Game took control as he knocked Orton down once, then hit the Facebuster. HHH knocked Rhodes and Dibiase off the apron and hit a Spinebuster on Orton. HHH had the Pedigree ready, but Legacy came in to attack. Cena came in to clear the ring of Legacy, and Orton hit the RKO on HHH.
Orton was semi out of it and went to cover HHH. Seth Green hesitated then rushed in the ring to kick Orton, breaking the pin up. Orton angrily started stalking Green around the ring, then kicked him down. Orton backed up to prepare for a Punt Kick. As Orton started running, Cena slid back in the ring and tackled him down. Legacy came back in and tried to hold Cena. Rhodes grabbed a steel chair from outside the ring to use on Cena, but HHH grabbed his Sledgehammer. HHH cleared the ring fast swinging his weapon and nearly hit Cena. The two stared at one another for several moments, until Seth Green got back in the ring. The crowd started a "SETH!" chant, and eventually Seth Green was up on HHH's shoulders
Randy Orton made his way down to the ring and told HHH he had the WWE title which HHH doesn't have. Orton began to tell off Seth Green next and told him he's got an anger management issue. Triple H suggested that Seth book Triple H versus Orton for the main event. Orton said there's no need for him to do that. HHH said he'd drop Orton right there and right now then. Orton backed away, saying he has nothing to say until Night of Champions. Orton was about to leave the ring, but then turned back to insult Seth Green some more, saying he only came to Raw to be mistaken for a real man. Orton went to leave but Seth stopped him to announce the main event: Orton & Legacy versus Triple H, Cena & Seth Green.

Edge may not return until 2010
Edge was injured during a match with Jeff Hardy over the weekend at a WWE Live Event in San Diego. Edge was running towards Jeff when he tore his Achilles tendon.
WWE has confirmed on their website the torn Achilles tendon injury. Edge arrived at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center in Birmingham, Alabama to have surgery to repair the torn tendon in his left ankle.
WWE has confirmed that Edge’s surgery was a success but have not provided an update on his return. Early estimates predicted that Edge may be out of action for the remainder of 2009 and put his return at January 2010.

ECW Results 07-09-09
Josh Matthews said tonight we find out who challenges Tommy Dreamer at Night of Champions for the ECW Title. Christian will face Vladimir Kozlov for the opportunity. The Bella Twins came out to the ring to start off the show. The Bellas joked with the crowd when they pretended to be each other after introductions.
Nikki Bella vs. Katie Lea Burchill
Brie Bella remained at ringside for the matchup. Early on, Katie Lea tossed Nikki outside through the ropes before jumping out to attack her. Back in the ring, Katie continued the punishment as she threw Nikki face first into the turnbuckle. Katie Lea used her knee to apply pressure on Nikki in the corner, then hit a backbreaker in the ring. Nikki started to fight back and used the ropes to do an impressive flip move into an armbar takedown.
At one point, Katie Lea tried to dump Nikki over the ropes and Nikki slipped while trying to hold on at the apron. As Nikki climbed back into the ring, Katie Lea grabbed her and hit a DDT from the middle ropes. After a failed pinfall by Katie, Nikki rolled to the outside and Brie swapped herself into the match. Matt Striker and Josh Matthews revisited highlights from last week's Yoshi Tatsu vs. Shelton Benjamin match. After Shelton mocked the newcomer in the ring with bows and sumo moves, Yoshi delivered a serious kick to KO Shelton and scored the winning pin.
Yoshi Tatsu vs. Shelton Benjamin
Shelton Benjamin was much more serious for this matchup as the bell rang. He immediately shoved Yoshi down to the mat, then later rammed Yoshi to the corner to hammer on him. Yoshi began to fight back, getting in some nice moves. Yoshi went for a flying belly splash after running off the ropes, and Shelton stuck his knees up. Shelton again took control, using an elbow drop and knees to Yoshi. At one point, Yoshi managed to counter Shelton's move off the ropes, and then did a backslide pin. Shelton rolled out of it and as he got up Yoshi went for the roundhouse kick move. Shelton quickly backed away and rolled out of the ring as ECW went to commercial.
ECW returned with Shelton in control in the ring, but Yoshi again used a high flying attack. As he tried for a dropkick after whipping Shelton to the ropes, Shelton held himself on the ropes, and Yoshi fell short. Shelton picked up Yoshi in an electric chair type move and dropped him face first to the turnbuckle. From there, Shelton applied a headlock down on the mat.
Yoshi gained some momentum yet again, landing some never seen before moves including a spinning heelkick off the ropes to take Benjamin down. Shelton kicked out before 3. Shelton came back again with a belly-to-belly suplex to toss Yoshi. Shelton went for a kick to Yoshi, with Yoshi ducking it, and Yoshi went for his kick. A promo video was shown of Vladimir Kozlov doing his fierce training in the gym. Josh Matthews reminded fans of the main event featuring Kozlov and Christian.

Million Dollar Man came out to clarify that now there will be a Triple Threat match at Night of Champions, with John Cena, Triple H and Randy Orton fighting over the WWE Title.
Jack Meridol vs. Ezekiel Jackson
Jackson made his ECW debut tonight since being drafted over from Smackdown. Earlier in the day, Jackson cut a promo saying the only name you need to remember in WWE history is Ezekiel. In his first match, he faced a local amateur wrestler. Meridol tried to mount some offense when he jumped at Jackson after coming off the ropes. Jackson caught him on a shoulder then rammed him into the corner. Ezekiel used a vicious bear hug to choke Meridol out then rammed him to another corner. Jackson continued the beatdown, throwing his opponent around the ring like a ragdoll. Ezekiel finished off Meridol with a one-armed slam to the mat. Ezekiel Jackson wins via pinfall over Jack Meridol.
Backstage, some WWE personnel and staff were talking when a girl was heard screaming and someone was shown falling off a ladder. Everyone rushed over to her, but just then The Hurricane came walking out with the girl on his shoulder as if he had caught her. He set her down and rushed off, with the girl saying for him to wait. ECW GM Tiffany came rushing over to ask what happened but nobody could ell her.
A replay was shown of the Hurricane incident where he saved a woman from falling off a ladder backstage.
Abraham Washington did his in-ring show, The Abraham Washington Show. Washington said everyone's talking about him since last week, including Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman. Washington said since he's getting such high ratings, it's time to have a high profile guest. ECW Champion Tommy Dreamer was introduced. Washington called Dreamer the "biggest" star in ECW history, then said he meant that literally, saying Dreamer looked like he was carrying twins. Washington then called Dreamer a senior citizen in ECW. Dreamer mentioned how ECW was the starting place for stars like CM Punk, Jack Swagger and Chris Jericho. Washington then asked Dreamer if his toughest opponent was Jenny Craig. Dreamer asked if Washington spraypainted his hair on tonight. Washington then asked Dreamer to pick tonight's winner in the #1 Contender match. Dreamer said hopefully it's Christian, because it'd be an honor to face him again.
Just then, Kozlov's music hit and Kozlov came down to the ring to get in Dreamer's face. Abraham Washington told them to hold on so they didn't mess up the set. Washington then introduced the two men to each other, saying Kozlov is the man Dreamer we'll be facing at Night of Champions. Kozlov quickly dropped Christian to the mat, then picked him in a Torture Rack on his shoulder. Christian managed to knock Kozlov out of the ring, then did a sliding dropkick. Kozlov got on the apron again, and as Christian ran into him, Kozlov headbutted, then tossed Christian over his back to the floor.
Back in the ring, Kozlov again put on the Torture Rack backbreaker with Christian up on his shoulder. Kozlov used a bear hug type move down on the mat, with Christian able to stand up and escape it briefly. Kozlov got Christian up on his shoulders, with Christian sliding off. The two men started fighting on the outside, with Christian able to shove Kozlov into the ringpost. Back in the ring, Christian did a missile dropkick off the corner but failed at the pin attempt.
Christian jumped onto the corner for his Sunset Flip attempt, but Kozlov quickly hammered him on the back. Christian then pulled the turnbuckle cover off as Kozlov pulled him off the corner and hit a backbreaker. After a failed pin by Kozlov he whipped Christian to the corner then charged. Christian avoided it and Kozlov hit the exposed steel. Christian hit the Killswitch immediately and won it by pinfall.
Nikki Bella vs. Katie Lea Burchill
Brie Bella remained at ringside for the matchup. Early on, Katie Lea tossed Nikki outside through the ropes before jumping out to attack her. Back in the ring, Katie continued the punishment as she threw Nikki face first into the turnbuckle. Katie Lea used her knee to apply pressure on Nikki in the corner, then hit a backbreaker in the ring. Nikki started to fight back and used the ropes to do an impressive flip move into an armbar takedown.
At one point, Katie Lea tried to dump Nikki over the ropes and Nikki slipped while trying to hold on at the apron. As Nikki climbed back into the ring, Katie Lea grabbed her and hit a DDT from the middle ropes. After a failed pinfall by Katie, Nikki rolled to the outside and Brie swapped herself into the match. Raw Results 07-06-09
After the pyrotechnics, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcomed fans to the show with tonight's main event match the tournament Finals for Night of Champions #1 Contender between John Cena and Triple H. Lillian Garcia was in the ring to announce tonight's special guest host for Raw, Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. Dibiase came out carrying his million dollar belt over his shoulder, then motioned for Dibiase and Rhodes of Legacy to come out from backstage. The trio walked to the ring together.
In the ring, Ted Dibiase Sr. said a few weeks ago when he heard that guests could run Raw for a night, he made a call and wrote a check. Dibiase said two of the most talented and gifted superstars in the WWE were in the ring with him. He said tonight he's going to showcase them, and although no titles will be on the line before Night of Champions, they'll have some fun tonight. Dibiase announced that at Night of Champions, Jericho and Edge will be defeated by Legacy for the tag team titles. Dibiase then announced that Cody Rhodes will face Mark Henry to teach him a lesson tonight. Dibiase's son asked his dad what he was doing. Million Dollar Man then told his son he saw a look in his eye the night he told Randy Orton off. Million Dollar Man told his son that Orton is just holding him down because he knows he's more talented. Dibiase then announced that his son will face Randy Orton in a match tonight, which will make statements. Million Dollar Man said his son will defeat Orton tonight.
Just as Dibiase left the ring, Edge's theme music hit and the Unified Tag team champions arrived down to the ring with their belts. Edge and Jericho entered the ring to stare at Rhodes and Dibiase prior to their upcoming match.
Primo & Carlito Colon vs. Chris Jericho & Edge
Footage was shown of last week's rematch where Carlito slipped on the rope due to Primo being shoved into it outside the ring by Jericho. Edge grabbed the win due to the mishap.
In tonight's match, the heels gained the early advantage against Carlito, keeping him away from a tag to Primo. Carlito finally was able to hit his elbow from off the ropes to take Jericho down, then managed to crawl to make a tag to Primo. Primo came in to knock Jericho off the apron then gained momentum against Edge. At one point, Edge had Primo tangled up in the ropes. Carlito came over on the apron to free Primo but Edge rushed into Primo causing Carlito to go flying off and into the crowd barrier. Primo tried to pin Edge who kicked out. Carlito slipped back into the ring and tried to go for Edge, and the ref intercepted him. While the ref was occupied, Jericho slipped in and hit the Codebreaker on Primo, then Edge caught him with a Spear to make the pin. Edge & Chris Jericho win via pinfall over The Colons.
In the ring following the loss, Carlito attacked Primo throwing him shoulder first into the ringpost and then out of the ring. Carlito continued to hammer on Primo then tossed him over the commentators' table before walking off up the ramp.
Backstage, Rhodes asked Dibiase about the match he was booked into against Orton. Dibiase said he didn't have much choice in the matter. Just then, Orton walked in and asked Dibiase if he was serious about this. Dibiase said his dad's stubborn. Orton then claimed he'd beat Dibiase in the match, causing Dibiase to get uspet and say he would beat Orton. Dibiase left the locker room with Orton and Rhodes standing there.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler discussed the 15 Superstar Trade and who Raw received in the deal: Evan Bourne, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry.
Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox & Maryse
Alicia Fox and Gail Kim made their debuts in a WWE Divas tag team match. In 3 weeks at Night of Champions, Mickie James will go for Maryse's Divas Championship.
Mickie and Maryse started the match with Maryse able to get under the top rope to break a grapple hold. Mickie did a flip move to escape an arm hold but Maryse grabbed her hair and yanked her to the mat. Alicia tagged in but Mickie took control against her, eventually hitting a neckbreaker, then going over to punch Maryse off the apron. Gail Kim got in on the action and hit several impressive moves including a flying bodypress off the corner. Maryse got several cheapshots in on Gail while Alicia had the ref distracted. Maryse tagged in to hit a backbreaker on Gail, but missed when she charged at her in the corner. Gail crawled to make a tag to Mickie with Maryse rushing over to knock Mickie off the apron. Maryse went to whip Gail to the ropes, but Gail countered and delivered an impressive kick move to pin Maryse. Gail Kim and Mickie James win via pinfall over Alicia Fox and Maryse.
Backstage, Million Dollar Man was getting his nails done when Cody Rhodes rushed in. Rhodes had a handful of cash, and Dibiase asked if he didn't really want to face Mark Henry. Dibiase reminded Rhodes he's the son of a WWE legend. Dibiase then said he despised Dusty Rhodes for being in the WWE Hall of Fame when he's not. Dibiase said Rhodes will face Henry and if he doesn't leave the office now he'll be wrestling wearing polka dots like his old man did.
WWE Slam of the Week covered highlights from last week's Raw 3-on-1 Gauntlet match. Randy Orton's final opponent was Mark Henry, and he got on the mic to say he'd make an impression for his first night on Raw. Orton went for the RKO at one point but Henry countered and hit the World's Strongest Slam to pin Orton.
Cody Rhodes vs. Mark Henry
Early in the match, Rhodes tried to mount some offense and jumped off the corner at Henry for a flying bodypress. Henry caught Rhodes from the air and then hit the World's Strongest Slam. Rhodes rolled out of the ring and the ref started the count. Rhodes went up the ramp and headed backstage as the ref counted him out. Mark Henry wins due to countout of Cody Rhodes.
John Cena was shown backstage throwing punches in the air in preparation of his match against Triple H.
Ted Dibiase vs. Randy Orton
Dibiase fought the leader of Legacy in a non-title bout set up by Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. Early on, Orton brought Dibiase down in a headlock, with Dibiase countering and using a leglock around Orton's neck. Dibiase turned around and punched Dibiase at one point, then after an armbar takedown, he dropkicked Orton to the outside as Raw took a commercial break.
Raw returned with Orton in the control in the ring, taking it to Dibiase. Orton shook his head at Dibiase before he started to kick away at him and stomp on him. Dibiase nearly stole a few pinfalls, but Orton viciously responded to level Dibiase after them. Orton knocked Dibiase to the apron, and as Dibiase got up, Orton hammered on him again then set him up for a DDT from the middle rope. Orton cockily tried for the pin, and Dibiase kicked out several times. An angry Orton started to punch away on Dibiase then kneed him. Orton hit a huge knee on Dibiase and tried again for a cover with no luck. Orton locked on a headlock until Dibiase stood up and hit the backdrop to break it.
After a backbreaker, Orton slithered away and prepared to hit the RKO as he saw Dibiase getting up. Dibiase countered the move with a backslide pin, and Orton kicked out. Orton came off the ropes at Dibiase who hit a powerslam and tried another pinfall. Dibiase countered an Orton move and tried for Dream Street. Orton escaped the hold and hit a surprise RKO to win it.

Backstage, Josh Matthews stopped Triple H for comments about the match against John Cena tonight. Triple H called the match tonight "epic". HHH said he doesn't care who he has to hurt or go through to get what he wants, including John Cena.
Highlights were shown of MVP accompanying Sherri Shepherd to the BET Awards Show. Various celebs gave their comments about the duo including Arsenio Hall and rapper Wale.
MVP hosted his in-ring show "The VIP Lounge" with special guest Jack Swagger. MVP called Swagger a fraud for getting the automatic countout against Randy Orton in his debut on Raw last week. Swagger called out MVP for spending time in prison, saying he's the fraud pretending to be an MVP athlete. Swagger said if anyone is the MVP on Raw it's him. MVP said when he was younger he made bad decisions when he ran the streets. MVP said now that he's a superstar he uses his influence to teach kids not to do the same things he did. MVP told Swagger that they have a major difference, that MVP has never been afraid of a fight. MVP took off his shirt and jewelry and got right in Swagger's face. Swagger backed up and exited the ring, saying he doesn't fight criminals. MVP said it's obvious to everyone that Swagger doesn't fight at all. MVP said Swagger knows exactly where to find him when he wants to man up.
Backstage, Million Dollar Man tried to congratulate his son for the effort against Orton, saying one day he'll be the champ. Ted Dibiase told his dad he set him up to fail. Dibiase said it's still all about him, stealing the spotlight isn't it. Million Dollar Man said it's not like that at all, and Dibiase said yes it is, before slapping his father hard in the face. Dibiase left the office.
Raw Rewind showed highlights of last week's Big Show-Kofi Kingston match which ended in a double countout.
Kofi Kingston vs. Evan Bourne
Early on both men traded interesting pinfall attempts, and Bourne missed on a high kick. Kofi grabbed his ankle to lock in a half Sharpshooter. Bourne managed to crawl over and grab the bottom rope to break it. As the match progressed, Kofi hit a high dropkick and a splash in the corner. Kofi tried to do the same in the opposite corner, with Bourne kneeing him. With Kofi Kingston down, Evan Bourne hit the Shooting Starpress off the corner to win it.
After the win, Bourne shook hands with Kofi Kingston. Just then, Big Show emerged from backstage and walked down to the ring. Kofi told Bourne to stay back as Show got into the ring. Show started to attack Kofi and Bourne kept trying to attack Show from behind. Show shoved Bourne away, threw him with both hands and at one point Speared Bourne down. Show continued to beat up Kofi and then locked in the Camel Clutch backbreaker on Kofi. Evan Bourne wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston.
Josh Matthews interviewed John Cena backstage. Cena said HHH was right earlier, that all bets are off. Cena said tonight's Raw is like a Wrestlemania, with two greats doing battle for a ticket at the WWE Title. Cena said two of the biggest forces in WWE will lock horns tonight, with one person standing tall at the end of it. Cena said it's been way too long since he said the words "the champ is here".
John Cena vs. Triple H (Night of Champions Tournament Finals)
Cena and HHH got in a staredown early on as they looked to the crowd to sense the excitement over the match. The two grappled then tossed each other away to regroup. The two grappled again and HHH came out on top punchign away. Cena responded with punches of his own and a shoulder block from off he ropes. HHH knocked Cena down, and Cena managed to whip HHH over the top rope. Cena went to the outside to try to hit the Attitude Adjustment, and HHH shoved Cena into the ringpost as Raw went to commercial.
The match progressed with Cena and HHH trading momentum. HHH gained the upperhand as he hit several moves on Cena including a fist to Cena's back near the ropes. HHH continued to hammer away on Cena then did a knee drop on him. Cena eventually gained control of the match and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena prepared for his finisher, but HHH slid off Cena's shoulders and began to punch away. Cena sent HHH to the ropes, but HHH came back for a Facebuster and then a hard clothesline. HHH sent Cena to the corner, then Cena kicked him as he charged. Cena ran at HHH and met the Spinebuster.
HHH went for a Pedigree and Cena countered with a backdrop. HHH put a Sleeper hold on Cena, but Cena started to power out of it, then sent HHH to the ropes. As HHH came back, Cena locked in a Sleeper hold of his own on The Game. HHH started to fade but eventually gained the strength to slam Cena back. Both men layed on the mat as the ref counted. Cena and HHH both got up and started to trade punches back and forth with the crowd reacting. Cena hit his bulldog move from the ropes to take HHH down, then went to the corner. Cena missed on the legdrop attempt.
Cena eventually tripped HHH down and locked in the STF, but HHH started to crawl frantically and grabbed the bottom rope to break it. Both men ended up goin down yet again and were able to get up prior to the ref's count. All of a sudden, Legacy rushed into the ring and attacked Cena & HHH. The ref immediately called for the bell. Match ruled a double disqualification when Legacy interfered.
Lillian Garcia started to make the ref's announcement, but Orton was on the ramp with a mic to interrupt. He said the match was a double DQ, meaning there is no winner and that means he won't be facing either man at Night of Champions. Just then, Million Dollar Man's music hit. Dibiase Sr. came out onto the ramp looking at Orton. Dibiase told Orton neither HHH nor Cena lost and tonight Million Dollar Man's word counts more than his. Dibiase announced Orton will defend the WWE title in a Triple Threat match at Night of Champions, Orton vs. Cena vs. HHH.
In the ring, Ted Dibiase Sr. said a few weeks ago when he heard that guests could run Raw for a night, he made a call and wrote a check. Dibiase said two of the most talented and gifted superstars in the WWE were in the ring with him. He said tonight he's going to showcase them, and although no titles will be on the line before Night of Champions, they'll have some fun tonight. Dibiase announced that at Night of Champions, Jericho and Edge will be defeated by Legacy for the tag team titles. Dibiase then announced that Cody Rhodes will face Mark Henry to teach him a lesson tonight. Dibiase's son asked his dad what he was doing. Million Dollar Man then told his son he saw a look in his eye the night he told Randy Orton off. Million Dollar Man told his son that Orton is just holding him down because he knows he's more talented. Dibiase then announced that his son will face Randy Orton in a match tonight, which will make statements. Million Dollar Man said his son will defeat Orton tonight.
Just as Dibiase left the ring, Edge's theme music hit and the Unified Tag team champions arrived down to the ring with their belts. Edge and Jericho entered the ring to stare at Rhodes and Dibiase prior to their upcoming match.
Primo & Carlito Colon vs. Chris Jericho & Edge
Footage was shown of last week's rematch where Carlito slipped on the rope due to Primo being shoved into it outside the ring by Jericho. Edge grabbed the win due to the mishap.
In tonight's match, the heels gained the early advantage against Carlito, keeping him away from a tag to Primo. Carlito finally was able to hit his elbow from off the ropes to take Jericho down, then managed to crawl to make a tag to Primo. Primo came in to knock Jericho off the apron then gained momentum against Edge. At one point, Edge had Primo tangled up in the ropes. Carlito came over on the apron to free Primo but Edge rushed into Primo causing Carlito to go flying off and into the crowd barrier. Primo tried to pin Edge who kicked out. Carlito slipped back into the ring and tried to go for Edge, and the ref intercepted him. While the ref was occupied, Jericho slipped in and hit the Codebreaker on Primo, then Edge caught him with a Spear to make the pin. Edge & Chris Jericho win via pinfall over The Colons.
In the ring following the loss, Carlito attacked Primo throwing him shoulder first into the ringpost and then out of the ring. Carlito continued to hammer on Primo then tossed him over the commentators' table before walking off up the ramp.
Backstage, Rhodes asked Dibiase about the match he was booked into against Orton. Dibiase said he didn't have much choice in the matter. Just then, Orton walked in and asked Dibiase if he was serious about this. Dibiase said his dad's stubborn. Orton then claimed he'd beat Dibiase in the match, causing Dibiase to get uspet and say he would beat Orton. Dibiase left the locker room with Orton and Rhodes standing there.
Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler discussed the 15 Superstar Trade and who Raw received in the deal: Evan Bourne, Gail Kim, Alicia Fox, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry.
Gail Kim & Mickie James vs. Alicia Fox & Maryse
Alicia Fox and Gail Kim made their debuts in a WWE Divas tag team match. In 3 weeks at Night of Champions, Mickie James will go for Maryse's Divas Championship.
Mickie and Maryse started the match with Maryse able to get under the top rope to break a grapple hold. Mickie did a flip move to escape an arm hold but Maryse grabbed her hair and yanked her to the mat. Alicia tagged in but Mickie took control against her, eventually hitting a neckbreaker, then going over to punch Maryse off the apron. Gail Kim got in on the action and hit several impressive moves including a flying bodypress off the corner. Maryse got several cheapshots in on Gail while Alicia had the ref distracted. Maryse tagged in to hit a backbreaker on Gail, but missed when she charged at her in the corner. Gail crawled to make a tag to Mickie with Maryse rushing over to knock Mickie off the apron. Maryse went to whip Gail to the ropes, but Gail countered and delivered an impressive kick move to pin Maryse. Gail Kim and Mickie James win via pinfall over Alicia Fox and Maryse.
Backstage, Million Dollar Man was getting his nails done when Cody Rhodes rushed in. Rhodes had a handful of cash, and Dibiase asked if he didn't really want to face Mark Henry. Dibiase reminded Rhodes he's the son of a WWE legend. Dibiase then said he despised Dusty Rhodes for being in the WWE Hall of Fame when he's not. Dibiase said Rhodes will face Henry and if he doesn't leave the office now he'll be wrestling wearing polka dots like his old man did.
WWE Slam of the Week covered highlights from last week's Raw 3-on-1 Gauntlet match. Randy Orton's final opponent was Mark Henry, and he got on the mic to say he'd make an impression for his first night on Raw. Orton went for the RKO at one point but Henry countered and hit the World's Strongest Slam to pin Orton.
Cody Rhodes vs. Mark Henry
Early in the match, Rhodes tried to mount some offense and jumped off the corner at Henry for a flying bodypress. Henry caught Rhodes from the air and then hit the World's Strongest Slam. Rhodes rolled out of the ring and the ref started the count. Rhodes went up the ramp and headed backstage as the ref counted him out. Mark Henry wins due to countout of Cody Rhodes.
John Cena was shown backstage throwing punches in the air in preparation of his match against Triple H.
Ted Dibiase vs. Randy Orton
Dibiase fought the leader of Legacy in a non-title bout set up by Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase. Early on, Orton brought Dibiase down in a headlock, with Dibiase countering and using a leglock around Orton's neck. Dibiase turned around and punched Dibiase at one point, then after an armbar takedown, he dropkicked Orton to the outside as Raw took a commercial break.
Raw returned with Orton in the control in the ring, taking it to Dibiase. Orton shook his head at Dibiase before he started to kick away at him and stomp on him. Dibiase nearly stole a few pinfalls, but Orton viciously responded to level Dibiase after them. Orton knocked Dibiase to the apron, and as Dibiase got up, Orton hammered on him again then set him up for a DDT from the middle rope. Orton cockily tried for the pin, and Dibiase kicked out several times. An angry Orton started to punch away on Dibiase then kneed him. Orton hit a huge knee on Dibiase and tried again for a cover with no luck. Orton locked on a headlock until Dibiase stood up and hit the backdrop to break it.
After a backbreaker, Orton slithered away and prepared to hit the RKO as he saw Dibiase getting up. Dibiase countered the move with a backslide pin, and Orton kicked out. Orton came off the ropes at Dibiase who hit a powerslam and tried another pinfall. Dibiase countered an Orton move and tried for Dream Street. Orton escaped the hold and hit a surprise RKO to win it.

Backstage, Josh Matthews stopped Triple H for comments about the match against John Cena tonight. Triple H called the match tonight "epic". HHH said he doesn't care who he has to hurt or go through to get what he wants, including John Cena.
Highlights were shown of MVP accompanying Sherri Shepherd to the BET Awards Show. Various celebs gave their comments about the duo including Arsenio Hall and rapper Wale.
MVP hosted his in-ring show "The VIP Lounge" with special guest Jack Swagger. MVP called Swagger a fraud for getting the automatic countout against Randy Orton in his debut on Raw last week. Swagger called out MVP for spending time in prison, saying he's the fraud pretending to be an MVP athlete. Swagger said if anyone is the MVP on Raw it's him. MVP said when he was younger he made bad decisions when he ran the streets. MVP said now that he's a superstar he uses his influence to teach kids not to do the same things he did. MVP told Swagger that they have a major difference, that MVP has never been afraid of a fight. MVP took off his shirt and jewelry and got right in Swagger's face. Swagger backed up and exited the ring, saying he doesn't fight criminals. MVP said it's obvious to everyone that Swagger doesn't fight at all. MVP said Swagger knows exactly where to find him when he wants to man up.
Backstage, Million Dollar Man tried to congratulate his son for the effort against Orton, saying one day he'll be the champ. Ted Dibiase told his dad he set him up to fail. Dibiase said it's still all about him, stealing the spotlight isn't it. Million Dollar Man said it's not like that at all, and Dibiase said yes it is, before slapping his father hard in the face. Dibiase left the office.
Raw Rewind showed highlights of last week's Big Show-Kofi Kingston match which ended in a double countout.
Kofi Kingston vs. Evan Bourne
Early on both men traded interesting pinfall attempts, and Bourne missed on a high kick. Kofi grabbed his ankle to lock in a half Sharpshooter. Bourne managed to crawl over and grab the bottom rope to break it. As the match progressed, Kofi hit a high dropkick and a splash in the corner. Kofi tried to do the same in the opposite corner, with Bourne kneeing him. With Kofi Kingston down, Evan Bourne hit the Shooting Starpress off the corner to win it.
After the win, Bourne shook hands with Kofi Kingston. Just then, Big Show emerged from backstage and walked down to the ring. Kofi told Bourne to stay back as Show got into the ring. Show started to attack Kofi and Bourne kept trying to attack Show from behind. Show shoved Bourne away, threw him with both hands and at one point Speared Bourne down. Show continued to beat up Kofi and then locked in the Camel Clutch backbreaker on Kofi. Evan Bourne wins via pinfall over Kofi Kingston.
Josh Matthews interviewed John Cena backstage. Cena said HHH was right earlier, that all bets are off. Cena said tonight's Raw is like a Wrestlemania, with two greats doing battle for a ticket at the WWE Title. Cena said two of the biggest forces in WWE will lock horns tonight, with one person standing tall at the end of it. Cena said it's been way too long since he said the words "the champ is here".
John Cena vs. Triple H (Night of Champions Tournament Finals)
Cena and HHH got in a staredown early on as they looked to the crowd to sense the excitement over the match. The two grappled then tossed each other away to regroup. The two grappled again and HHH came out on top punchign away. Cena responded with punches of his own and a shoulder block from off he ropes. HHH knocked Cena down, and Cena managed to whip HHH over the top rope. Cena went to the outside to try to hit the Attitude Adjustment, and HHH shoved Cena into the ringpost as Raw went to commercial.
The match progressed with Cena and HHH trading momentum. HHH gained the upperhand as he hit several moves on Cena including a fist to Cena's back near the ropes. HHH continued to hammer away on Cena then did a knee drop on him. Cena eventually gained control of the match and hit the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Cena prepared for his finisher, but HHH slid off Cena's shoulders and began to punch away. Cena sent HHH to the ropes, but HHH came back for a Facebuster and then a hard clothesline. HHH sent Cena to the corner, then Cena kicked him as he charged. Cena ran at HHH and met the Spinebuster.
HHH went for a Pedigree and Cena countered with a backdrop. HHH put a Sleeper hold on Cena, but Cena started to power out of it, then sent HHH to the ropes. As HHH came back, Cena locked in a Sleeper hold of his own on The Game. HHH started to fade but eventually gained the strength to slam Cena back. Both men layed on the mat as the ref counted. Cena and HHH both got up and started to trade punches back and forth with the crowd reacting. Cena hit his bulldog move from the ropes to take HHH down, then went to the corner. Cena missed on the legdrop attempt.
